Why We Need More Feminity!

In a day and generation when a man was not supposed to salute even his own wife in a public place, Jesus dared to take women along as teachers of the gospel…The Truth Book

woman

Woman is the bedrock of society. She’s the cornerstone of a family unit. Without the balancing and calming female energy in any situation the effort is likely to become too aggressive and overshoot its mandate. The feminine energy can be the calming balm that’s necessary in the world today. Whenever we need resolution to a touchy topic or an argument, let’s seek the ‘feminine’ approach!

yin & yang

Divinity expresses itself equally via the 2 material channels. The male and the female, the ‘on’ and the ‘off’, up and down, electron and proton. The world today is still male dominated when it comes to ideas and policies. When we truly need peace to prevail we’ll want the feminine energy to balance the masculine!

Why We Must Be The Change!

The following exchange took place between teacher and inquirer:

‘How can I avoid a noisy world?’

‘Be quiet yourself.’

‘How can I avoid getting hurt?’

‘Be harmless yourself.’

‘How can I avoid false teachings?’

‘Be true yourself.’

Whatever kind of psychological events a man meets, he really meets himself, for he and his world are one. Vernon Howard

we are the world

We are literally the world. Our own consciousness is all we truly know.

  • We assume others understand and view the world the way we do. They don’t.
  • We assume that circumstances need to change for us to be happy. Not true.
  • We think we’ll be happy when others start behaving. Nope.
  • We know we’ll be happier when we reach a certain goal. Probably not.

it’s us

It started with us when we became conscious of self. The onus remains on us. We control our happiness. We control our reaction to events. We design our thoughts. We decide what makes us happy. We choose our own values. We  take action the way we please. We must change if our world is to change. We must change if we’re to architect our destiny. We must change if we’re to be free.

Why Is It So Hard?

Everybody wants to get enlightened but nobody wants to change.Andrew Cohen

seeking…

We’re seekers. We seek after peace, contentment, enlightenment, something deeper, ‘the way’, escape, we can call it what we will… We’re all seeking something that’s beyond where and what we are… Perhaps that’s by design?

To get beyond where we are, change is required. Change of mind, of attitude and of perception.

change is hard

There’s something called the ‘ego’, that comes in the way of our efforts to change. We think we don’t need to change. We think others need to change. We think we’re already making enough of the changes necessary. The ego convinces us that it’s better to be safe and certain than to take risky action. We comply and therefore we change not because we venture not. All this while, because we don’t change, we suffer, people around us suffer and the world loses on the potentiality of another eternal soul!

The Three Minds And A Habit!

God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it’s me. – Change Quotes

the 3 minds

There’s the rational mind, the emotional mind and in this categorization the higher or spiritual mind. Unless all 3 are involved in our change efforts, change or success will be hard to reach.

  • Rational Mind: It must make logical sense for us to pursue a change goal. It could be better health that draws us towards an exercise goal and we then see how it can benefit us in the long run.
  • Emotional Mind: We must be passionate about the change we want to see in our lives. Without such emotional involvement the goal won’t mean much, but if we have meaning attached to our purpose then very little stands between us and our goals!
  • Higher Mind: We must have a higher purpose. Without a lofty goal that takes us beyond our routine life, change will be hard. If our change goal is tied to our ‘Life Purpose’ then movement towards such a goal will be swift!

Success is guaranteed when the 3 minds work in tandem towards a goal that unifies our entire personality, our logical mind, our emotions and our highest leanings!

the personal success rhythm

As we embark on a change journey we need a rhythm, a  personal success habit. The tips given in a previous change blog, Making Time For The Important Stuff can be used to to create such a daily success rhythm. Once we have that rhythm going, success will become just another habit. It’s an established fact that any habit takes about 4 weeks to become one. Let’s attempt to do daily that for which we want to create new neuron pathways! Can we make a pledge today to establish such a rhythm?

eft & pstec

Emotional baggage from our childhood and our past in general can be a major drag on our present. Many of us have suffered traumas that we haven’t fully processed yet. These can be a heavy albatross around our change efforts. Luckily, other than psycho-therapy there are some self-programming and hypnosis tools that can do wonders:

  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques): This is an amazing self-help tool that combines meridian tapping and affirmations to root out emotional issues that drag us down and even those that are the cause of our current day physical ailments. The tapping erases neural pathways that obstruct present day normal functioning.
  • PSTec: Another amazing tool that uses pattern interruption and self-hypnosis to remove unhealthy neural pathways. By using this technique one can remove phobias, fears, depression, compulsions, resentments and even program positive emotions instead.

These tools are highly recommended and they help us to face the issue and to neutralize root emotional causes…

How And Why Visualization Works!

Man can only receive what he sees himself receiving.Florence Scovel Shinn

creators

God thought this world into existence. He endowed us with a similar ability that impacts our domain. Our thoughts may be keeping us away from what we truly need. The purest form of thought is visualization. Here’s an excerpt from an actual study done on visualization, reference:

Dr. Blaslotto’s study was conducted by asking a group of students who had been randomly selected to take a series of [basketball] free-throws. The percentage of made free throws were tallied. The students were then divided into three groups and asked to perform three separate tasks over a 30 day period.

  • The first group was told not to touch a basketball for 30 days, no practicing or playing basketball whatsoever.
  • The second group was told to practice shooting free throws for a half hour a day for 30 days
  • The third group was to come to the gym every day for 30 days and spend a half hour with their eyes closed, simply visualizing hitting every free-throw.

After the 30 days all three groups were asked to come back and take the same number of free-throws they had in the beginning of the study.

  • The first group of students who did not practice at all showed no improvement
  • The second group had practiced every day and showed a 24% improvement
  • The third group however, the group which had simply visualized successful free-throws, showed a 23% improvement

visualization = reality

Such is the power of visualization, it can help change us while helping create the future we desire! In the above study the students were able to create new neural pathways just by visualizing the basketball free-throw, that’s how powerful it is!

In our change journey visualization is a very important tool, I recommend Shakti’s books on this topic.
