The secret to finding peace

Fill your mind with the meaningless stimuli of a world preoccupied with meaningless things, and it will not be easy to feel peace in your heart.

Marianne Williamson

As we become aware of this constant chatter, ongoing inside the head, we start to quiet our mind.

Just by being more conscious!

As we become more still, the peace and joy that resides within us, has a chance to emerge, and it does!

The present is the only time there is

God exists in eternity. The only point where eternity meets time is in the present. The present is the only time there is. Marianne Williamson

All we have is now. All that we do, can only be in the present moment. And for that reason when we’re thinking and processing in our minds, we can’t really be doing anything else. We can’t be smelling the roses, we can’t really be listening to another, we can’t even listen to the signals our own body or soul might be sending our way!

Pay attention to all the thoughts you’re processing, all day long. As you bring your attention to that constant activity, it will begin to slow down. You then create spaces between your thoughts that allow for peace, intuition, joy and direct perception possible. You start living a richer life.

We are all meant to shine, as children do

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Marianne Williamson

Let’s liberate ourselves, get rid of all fear, get emboldened, let the light shine through, flower into the beauty and genius that we are, jump off and fly!!!!!!!!!!!

Living a conscious life

The conscious mind knows the secret of living impersonally.Vernon Howard

The whole world doesn’t revolve around you. When someone says something or appears to mean a certain thing, it’s not aimed at you! And what if it is?

Once you get that, you’re free. You couldn’t care less about what the whole world thinks. You’re still a loving and caring individual of course, but you’re not unduly affected by others.

A conscious mind is one that’s aware of where your thoughts come from and what they lead to. You are then conscious of all your reactions to events. Your reactions to or lack thereof determines how peaceful you can be.

When you don’t think that the whole world or others are conspiring against you, you can be at ease. And that’s the goal. Once you’re at ease you are a more effective human being in all arenas of life!

Are you making a life or a living?

True masters are those who have chosen to make a life, rather than a living?Neale Donald Walsch

On what topic do we spend most of our thoughts, daily? The whole idea of material progress was to effect more leisure time so that we could do things and think about things that really matter.

Why hasn’t that happened for most of us? How does one make a life out of all that we do?

  • What’s truly most important to you?
  • How much are you being rather than doing?

Flow with life

True mastery can be gained by letting things go their own way.  It can’t be gained by interfering.  – Lao-tse

Lao-tse, the father of Tao, is pointing to how your lack of reaction to events can help you master them! There are 2 essential ways to react to any event. One is to attach to an event via your thoughts (and emotions), get drawn in and in turn possibly regret your reaction later.

The other is to view the event as an observer, without identifying your personality and history with the event. In this situation you’re observing without manufacturing thoughts about the situation. You’re just being, you’re just listening, you’re just flowing with what’s going on.

That in turn allows you to be the master of that event. You control your reaction to any situation, which means that you control your own happiness!

As you do this with every event in your life you begin to flow with life, a happy unperturbed camper at all times!

Let your light shine forth!

Make small commitments and keep them. Be a light, not a judge. Be a model, not a critic. Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

Stephen R. Covey (Seven Habits of Highly Effective People)

Our approach to life and our own-selves must be a positive one. Let’s notice the negativities in life and turn them around. Always look for the silver lining.

A light, ever lit, shines within you, waiting to emerge. Let it out via your positive and selfless outlook. Allow it to shine, as you forgive all, even yourself. Now look for ways to help and serve others, all day.
