Who Is This Person?

We worry about what children will be tomorrow. Yet, we forget he is something today.Stacia Tauscher

child?

Kahlil Gibran in ‘The Prophet’:

They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you…

How do we view and interact with ‘children’ daily? Do we act as though we know stuff? Do we behave like the child is not his own soul? How does this attitude translate into the rest of our adult interaction?

today

Today the child is also a child of the Divine. Today we still need to learn and grow a lot more. Today everyone else we meet is also God’s child. Today is more important than any other day. Life happens today. Yesterday’s gone and tomorrow shall never be, because it’s all ‘today’. Let’s find rest in the eternal peace that is ‘Now’. All is well.

What’s So Cool About NOW?

13.22 … He watches, gives blessing, bears all, feels all. He is called the Lord Supreme and the Supreme Soul.

13.23 He who knows in truth this Spirit and knows nature with its changing conditions, wherever this man may be he is no more whirled round by fate. The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 13)

here and now

Why are we instructed to stay in the moment when possible? Because in this moment eternity meets time and space. In this very moment God and divinity are present. At this time spirit and wisdom becomes accessible. Peace and joy are at hand.

Ok, so why can’t we feel and know all this good stuff??

attention

Pure attention is required. We must look at and experience things as they are. When done with pure attention, no thoughts about the thing or experience are generated inside our head. When that happens, the eternal moment and all its goodness starts to become apparent. Practice makes perfect. It’s a muscle that slowly grows and yields amazing results! Try it!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM fully attentive.

Why It’s Possible…

What I most want you to dream of, are possibilities that thrill you.

What I most want you to feel, is happy.

And what I most want you to know, is that you’re loved.

Always and forever… The Universe

possibilities

According to some, God and the Universe are exploding the full potential and possibilities inherent in the individual nodules of creativity that are us! The realms of time and space are teaming with life, and in wonderment of all that is possible. When we dwell in a state of possibilities, we’re likely living to our full potential. And then all is well and functioning just as it should!

happiness and love

If we’re not happy, why is that? If we can’t experience love then no wonder we’re not happy. If we’re fearful of life and the future then what’s the meaning of this all? If we but realize that we are the very children of the Infinite One, then what can we even worry about? We are princes and princesses who live like paupers not realizing that our divine inheritance surrounds us. Let’s wake up to this liberating realization!

Will We?

But what do we know of the heart nearest to our own? What do we know of our own heart?Amelia Barr

self

If we know self, we’ll know why we do what we do…we’ll know what pesters us and why, and we’ll know where we’re headed.

stillness

The perfect way to self-knowledge is via stillness. Such a practice quietens our mind, stills the electro-chemical currents in our being, and puts  us in touch with the very essence of it all.

5 minutes once or twice a day is all that it takes! Will we?

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM still.

What Is True Wisdom?

13.2 Know that I am the knower in all the fields of my creation; and that the wisdom which sees the field and the knower of the field is true wisdom. The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 13)

wisdom?

What is wisdom?

  • Is it an ability to understand things as they are?
  • Does it help in understanding origins and destinies?
  • Does it aid in living happily?

true wisdom

According to the supreme God personality speaking via The Gita true wisdom is when we realize that God is the ‘field’, the creation and that she’s the knower of her creation as well. God is the knower and that which is knowable.

God creates us to experience totality, to experience what she is, to enjoy being limited and thus finds a way to escape her infinity…We are her children in this eternal adventure, we have nowhere to go but to her, we are safe now and forever!
