What Are We Doing About Love?

Who do you love? What are you doing about it?Questions

who do we love?

Let’s be very clear about this. Who do we love? Why? To what end? Why is this love important? When we love them what do we feel? What do we want to feel? To what extent have we expressed this love?

expression

Expression equals creation. Until we express something into reality, all we have are thoughts and emotions. It takes thoughts to kick off a creation, but express we must to complete the cycle! Let’s put into expression, in 2012, our love for all who are important in our lives. Can we pledge to that?

What Do We Most Want To Feel?

If there are people at once rich and content, be assured that they are content because they know how to be so, not because they are rich.Charles Wagner

seeking wealth?

We all seek wealth, success, recognition, a feeling of accomplishment and much more! What are we truly seeking? What is it that we want to feel? What has been most important to us in our lives?

the feeling

What we’re really seeking is the feeling we get from accomplishing or having the things that we seek. For example we seek wealth to feel important, to feel loved and/or to feel secure. It’s important to understand what is it that we seek to feel. Once we clarify that we’ll know what kinds of goals to set, how to use our core values to set such goals and therefore how to be happy and content as we move through life!

How To Move To Now!

Move away from the mental how to the spiritual now.Guy Finley

mental how

We live constantly in our minds. We manufacture about 70,000 thoughts a day! When we’re thinking, we are not in the present moment.

spiritual now

By becoming aware of our thoughts, our breath, our body, our emotions and of what’s going on we can move into the spiritual now. It really is that simple. Takes practice of course. We must build the new muscle. We must breathe with full consciousness. We must understand the movement of thoughts. We ought to know how our emotions get triggered. And we must value being in the present!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM present!

How The Self Flowers…

As surely as the beauty and fragrance of summer’s first rose waits in the silence of her still dormant seed, within me sleeps the eternal flowering of (what) I am.Guy Finley

cultivate

Just like a physical garden we must cultivate and irrigate the inner patch. We do that by staying more in the present and by developing the stillness muscle. Just 5 minutes, twice a day allows us to connect to the center within. With regularity that connection grows stronger and stronger until it bleeds over into most of the day.

i am

A sense of peace emerges. We naturally fall in love with life and with everyone we meet. We now tend to see beyond self. We feel that there’s more than our selfish life. We want to know how to connect to a ‘noble cause’, we feel desirous of discovering our ‘life purpose’. We now understand that the ‘more’ that we’ve been seeking in the past is spiritual in nature and involves the well-being of society. Conscious life now truly begins.

What’s The Ego?

The ego lives by comparisons. It cannot survive without judgment. A Course in Miracles (ACIM)

ego

It’s that part of us that makes life possible. It’s the practical aspect of self that allows us to make decisions daily. Its job is to preserve the self and it does so in a very mechanical and selfish manner. The ego compares and judges constantly. It does that to preserve self in relation to others. For the ego more is always better and being right is always preferable.

transcending ego

Knowing who the real master is, is to know how to transcend the ego. When we reflect or step back we’re allowing more than the ego to operate. Acknowledging that there’s a greater mind than ours, that greater things are afoot and that a master designer rules the foundational realms, is to know how to transcend the ego.

We decide, we choose our thoughts and therefore are we masters of our self and our ego!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM my own master.

Are You Religious?

The religious man is he who does not belong to any religion, to any nation, to any race, who is inwardly completely alone, in a state of not-knowing, and for him the blessing of the sacred comes into being.Krishnamurti

one definition

Krishnamurti defines the religious person here. In his view, it seems to me, a person ought to be his own, not swayed by any factor, condition or knowledge. And in that pure state of silence and being, then, is experienced the ‘sacredness’ which is self-evident and may be termed as a ‘religious experience’.

true religion

What’s our definition of being religious? What are the important qualities one seeks to attain as a religious person? Why is religion important? What is true religion?

Daily Affirmation: Today I embody true religion!

What’s Real In Our Lives?

Have we done anything lately that’s worth remembering?Questions

mostly stuff

While all we see around us is real and beautiful, it’s only just stuff. The house is stuff, the car is stuff, the clothes are stuff, the career and the business is also stuff. Time spent figuring our the next purchase or corporate maneuver is likely of no eternal import.

relationship memories

Put people together and sparks begin to fly! And that’s good and bad sparks. That’s the real stuff. The meanings and values that emerge from relationships and engagements is what we’re really here to create. We’re here to create memories. Which is why every interaction with every human being can be a holy experience. What if all life on our planet was lived with that perspective!?

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM focused on people not stuff!
