Why Truth Always Triumphs!

When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it – always.Mahatma Gandhi

despair

During these trying times we will all feel an occasional despair. A lot of it comes from similar energies emitted by folks around us and across the world. Let’s watch for such an influence as it tries to overcome us. Also watch for negativity that we generate which accelerates an internal spiral downwards. Putting the spotlight on such thoughts does wonders and is often the way out!

truth triumphs

The Universe straddles on an unassailable base of Truth and Light. It proceeds from the God of all creation. There can be no darkness (lack of light) that can last for too long. This light attempts to shine from inside all of us. Our belief and faith in it gives it more leeway in our lives. Let’s rejoice in Goodness and revel in the fact that Truth will always triumph! There’s always light at the end of the tunnel!!

What Is Reality?

No authority is higher than reality.  Peter Nivio Zarlenga

which reality?

We live almost 100% subjective realities. We’re circumscribed in our experiences, our origin, the culture we grow up in or live in, our ego controlled minds and our own expectations of others and events. Even experiences of ‘God’ and the ‘Universe’ emerge quite differently based on the individual. Case in point is 100s of religions that abound.

seeking reality

Does that mean there’s no reality to be sought? I don’t think so. I believe that our universal quest is to seek such reality. I also believe that ‘love’ is the way forward. Relationships are the playground through which we’ll live, learn and experience this love. Let’s seek the highest reality we can know, love….

Daily Affirmation: Today I relate to one and all in love.

A Deeper Meaning?

Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world. What you see reflects your thinking. And your thinking but reflects your choice of what you want to see. A Course In Miracles

change perception

Gandhi said ‘we must be the change we want to see in the world’, such change begins in how we perceive the world, others and ourselves. When we explore our perceptions, beliefs, assumptions, thought-patterns and expectations we approach greater self-knowledge. That exercise can feed the change we want to see.

meaning

When we perceive external situations they’re colored by the special tint on our experience and DNA infused glasses. We see accordingly, we expect and believe accordingly. As we choose to see what we see, our thinking further underscores that choice. In other words our thinking, our perception and choices reinforce each other. We live in a world of our own creation. Is there meaning in the world and our relationships beyond what we imprint on them?

Daily Affirmation: Today I become aware of my thinking.

Nothing Unreal Exists

Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
A Course In Miracles

real vs. unreal

What is real? Anything of value to the Universe or to the Creator is real. Anything of value exists because it ought to. We, in our essence, at our core, are real.

peace of God

Once we realize that nothing about us or anyone else is truly threatened, we can rest easy. We can be at peace when we know we’re safe. We are safe and secure, forever.

Why God’s Will?

6.2… and no man can be a Yogi who surrenders not his earthly will. The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 6)

who’s a yogi?

The word Yoga can be literally translated from the original Sanskrit to mean ‘unite’ or ‘union’. Union with ultimate reality is the goal of any practitioner (yogi) of yoga! The Bhagavad Gita makes it plenty clear that ultimate reality is God as a person.

my will

Our ‘earthly will’ is just that, very circumscribed, selfish and short-term oriented. We cannot know how our selfish actions will impact the greater good of creation. Therefore it becomes spiritually important that we fine tune our will to be inspired by God’s. Without doubt God’s Will always proceeds from love, understanding, truth, beauty and goodness. We cannot go wrong if we access the divine will and execute on it. That is actually the ultimate adventure!

Daily Affirmation: Today I seek God’s will for me.

Why Light a Candle?

Better to light a candle than curse the darkness.Proverb

negativity

The problem with complaining and negativity is simple. It forces us to spend time at the level of the problem, at a lower frequency and often leaves us feeling sorry for our selves. Let’s seek the light instead, heck let’s create some!

create light

How can we create light in any given situation? Lets become aware of what we’re thinking about the situation. If our analysis is turning negative, we should note how the thinking is affecting us in the moment. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t analyze and critique when necessary. Lets ensure that the thought spiral isn’t taking us down with it. Instead we can bring ‘light’ to the situation or person by reminding ourselves that thoughts matter. We control the vibrations we dwell in… Let’s step back and view (shine a light) from a ‘higher’ vantage point.

Daily Affirmation: Today I bring light to each person and situation.

What’s ‘THE’ Answer?

The receptive mind lets go of its answer to make room for the answer.Vernon Howard

my ego

My ego tells me that I’m right. I believe my ego, in fact I live with my ego daily and think that it’s me. And that I must control life and all decisions therein. With that mindset I’m guaranteed disappointments and failures at all levels. I’m also guaranteed apparent successes. In other words I’m guaranteed a life of illusion.

‘the’ answer

There’s a faculty that allows us to perceive things as they truly are. This faculty becomes available to us when we stop controlling, when we become more still and when we can listen to the other person and to life itself, very deeply. Listening at all levels then is the answer and the only way.

Daily Affirmation: Today I listen deeply.
