How To Receive While Giving…

To meet everything and everyone through stillness instead of mental noise is the greatest gift you can offer to the universe.  – Eckhart Tolle

stillness

When our minds are still we can meet people as they are not as we perceive them. When our minds are at rest we can see things in their full glory instead of through our ideas of them.

discovery

When we do that we’re primed to discover people and things in ways not previously possible. The world and its inhabitants will now be brand new to us. We’ll be freed from the chains of the past that bind us and be able to tackle life in its nascent freshness. We’ll experience a new level of peace and joy!

How To Feel Peace At Will…

When you say “yes” to the “isness” of life, when you accept this moment as it is, you can feel a sense of spaciousness within you that is deeply peaceful.  – Eckhart Tolle

this moment

This moment is, it just is. Accept it. Breathe deeply and let go. Now, feel that acceptance settling in…

When we do that, we begin to feel the calmness and peace that pervades all that is. And this despite the movement of life and time itself.

nowness

When we accept this moment and reside fully therein, we’re ready to accept all that Life brings to us. It doesn’t mean we appreciate everything that’s happening to us. It just means that we accept it, can feel the ‘nowness’ and can act from this settled frame of mind. And then we do the same thing in the next moment, and the next…

How To Be More Peaceful…

Trust creates peace.  – ‘Yogi Tea’ Fortune

what’s missing?

Something is definitely missing in our lives. What is it? We search for it incessantly and we don’t quite find it. We look for it in relationships, in cars and gadgets, at work and in our hobbies but that ‘something’ stays mostly elusive! What is it? What is it that’ll help us be at peace and fulfilled?

trust!

An ultimate answer will never be forthcoming! Why? Because life, God’s creation, is endless and eternal, just like God. We can continually progress as we move along; we’re never ‘there’ though. But there is something we can attain while on the journey. And that’s peace. How can we start feeling this peace? Via trust and faith. We must trust, that as children of the ‘most high’ we are safe, all is well and that all will be well. Such peace is accentuated via stillness.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM trusting that all is well!

How To Be Wealthy!

Contentment is the greatest wealth.  – The Urantia Papers

wealth

  • How do we define success for ourselves?
    What is true wealth?
    How much is enough?
    What do we truly ‘need’?
    What do we ultimately seek?

wealth

The very source of it all, the fountain of truth, the satisfaction of all our true desires, our eternal guide and our ultimate goal resides quietly within our hearts. It yearns to make contact, but often cannot because of the electro-chemical nature of our minds. It also does not because we don’t seek it. It never forces, but gently prods if we only listen. Stillness helps us make contact.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM content, life is good!

What Are We Afraid Of?

We yearn for a moment’s peace and quiet, only to turn on the radio, make a phone call, or run an errand as soon as an opportunity for solitude presents itself.  – Ronnie Polaneczky

afraid to die?

We fill our life with motion. Incessantly. Why?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ponder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I think it’s because we’re running away from ourselves. We do need action in life, just not constant action. At some level we’re afraid of facing our deep, apparently lonely, self. We feel more alive when we’re moving. Life is movement. When we’re still and without interaction; at a very deep level, we fear our mortality

pause

Let’s pause; focus on our breathing. Slowly, find self calming down. Our mind will want to race, let it, don’t attach any attention to it or to its production, which are thoughts.

Once we start getting used to being still, at rest, a peace will start to descend, actually emerge from within. Then we will know that we’ve never been alone.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM pausing…

Why We Will Thrive!

Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.  – Christian D. Larson

odds

The odds are stacked heavily in our favor. We’re God’s kids playing in a playground created by him. All is well. It’s play and growth that we’re after. When all is said and done, when dusk arrives, we’ll just go back home into safety and joy.

in us

Inside us is the guiding light that ever shows us the way forward. If we seek its advice and stay confidently expectant then nothing but goodness will befall us…

What Is Meditation?

Meditation is the dissolution of thoughts in pure consciousness, knowing without thinking…Voltaire

awareness

One goal of meditation is to just become aware of what’s going on without creating thoughts about what’s going on. This practice becomes easier as we just sit and be, regularly. It’s also achievable when we’re amidst nature and just taking in the beauty that surrounds us.

peace

As we reduce the creation of thoughts that describe what’s going on, we begin to experience an ineffable peace. This peace is deeply satisfying and connects us to the ‘pure consciousness’ that undergirds the entire universe!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM simply observing without creating thoughts!
