why love?

Love is a constant theme of this blog! And it’ll continue to be one! Why?

Because the only way forward is through love. The answer to any question is love itself. The only way to banish fear is via love. When love occupies the heart, fear cannot co-exist. Love creates this Universe. It’s the language and the currency of All That Is. Until we understand the importance of cultivating love in our hearts, we’ll stay confused. Love can guide our every step. It banishes all doubt. It’s the way and the only thing that’ll save our planet.

awakening love

How can we awaken the love that’s at our very core? By recognition and practice. When we walk around flowing with and in love, our entire world is transformed.

  1. We must recognize first that it’s something we desire. Can’t reach a goal if we don’t know what it is.
  2. Practice stillness. Such a practice quietens our mind and allows the love inside expression in our lives.
  3. Practice Loving Kindness: Let’s walk around smiling, exuding love and expressing our love through genuine kindness and service. We reap what we practice.

why?

Why do we give? We give because we want the recipient to love us and appreciate us. God first gave of herself and when we’re attuned to her we’re compelled to give as well. A gift lands softly in its spot when it’s enrobed in love and fulfills the true needs of the receiver. Such a giver requires nothing in return.

A gift of true understanding and of loved filled service to another is the most we can ever give. Most people are crying out to be understood, to be heard. No one can ever be in our shoes so we’re desperate to be appreciated for what we are. A nonjudgmental gift of true listening, one that overflows with love is the finest gift possible.

How does one live a spiritual life? By invoking the ‘spirit’ of things into daily living. Everything that happens to us has a spiritual underpinning. To actively discover and to embrace that essence is to live the spiritual life.

To live such a life we must awaken to what’s happening to us. One neat way to practice this is to just become aware of our breathing, all day long. When we do that we suddenly become ‘awakened’ beings, we become witnesses to what’s going on. Try it…

Relationships are important because they reveal to us the crucial fabric of all existence; love! Love is at its purest when we interact with an individual at the level of their divinity and serve them according to their needs without expecting anything in return. Who do we love like that? What does love mean to us? How can we live a love-filled life?

Why Perspective Matters…

You can only be happy when you see things in proper perspective:  all human beings are of equal importance in God’s sight, and have a job to do in the divine plan. – The Peace Pilgrim

If we really think about it, all we have is our own perspective of things. We can only ever know our own mind, we can only ever be conscious of our self alone. We cannot totally put ourselves into anyone else’s shoes, and therefore we can never truly know their perspective.

now what?

If that’s true then how can we ever know Truth? We have a shot at it if we pursue God’s mind. God is the ultimate distributor and purveyor. He forever distributes himself and the bounties of the Universe. Upon asking we can start to receive this gift of knowing God’s mind, life then starts to make a lot more sense!

defiling self

We defile ourselves when we think thoughts at lower vibratory levels. Such thoughts consist of jealousy, hatred, worry, dislike, lack and self-degradation. Our minds and bodies, literally, start vibrating at lower frequencies when we allow ourselves to think this way. We then attract more mental anguish, turmoil and ill-health. It’s law, it must happen that way.

upgrading the soul

The opposite is true of course. We can raise our vibratory levels by thinking lovely thoughts, by living in love, by appreciating beauty and art, by listening to uplifting music and by having a positive life expectation.
