Why There’s No Need To Worry!

If you pray, why worry? If you worry, why pray?St. Padre Pio

worry?

Set an hourly timer and ask the following questions of self:

  • What was my dominant thought the last hour?
  • What am I dwelling on right now?

Increasing awareness is the silver bullet that will kill all the demons within and without. More and more of us are doing this across the planet and for that reason our future, for the first time in history, is bright, rejoice!

pray

Prayer is our connection with the Divine or if you will, with the Universal currents. As we pray, even constantly, chatting with ‘All That Is’, with the Parent of all that we see and experience, we strengthen our connection. If we trust in an all-seeing Upholder, we have nothing to worry about, period.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM joyous!

The Key To Higher Self-Esteem…

Self-acceptance is my refusal to be in an adversarial relationship to myself. Nathaniel Branden

self

Our mind is made up of many psychological parts. The ego itself can be divided into some of the following, here’s basic info on them:

  • The Protector: This is the part that wants to protect us and ensure that we don’t take unnecessary risks.
  • The Critic: This part is what calls us silly or ugly. It’s what we use to criticize us and others. It’s also our motivator.
  • The Image Consultant: Wants us to behave in certain ways so that we’re acceptable to others…
  • The Skeptic: It’s the part that notices inconsistencies with our thinking and must be convinced about a certain decision, ensures that we don’t get scammed.
  • The Wounded child: This is the main-stay of our psyche, all other parts protect this one. Here’s more on it.

When our psyche is fragmented or we have trouble unifying some of these parts, all kinds of emotional trouble is let loose. We can feel disoriented, incomplete, think that we’re forgetting something, feel unreasoned fear and many similar symptoms.

accepting self

Unification of personality comes from some of the following activities:

  • Meditation and mind-fullness
  • Journaling and clear-thinking
  • Prayer and faith

Increasing self-awareness is the key. We can then know when we’re at odds with our own self. That leads to correct thinking which results in happiness!

Why You’ve Been Chosen!

To be born is to be chosen. No one is here by accident. John O’Donohue

chosen

Sometimes we might think … ‘Hey we didn’t ask to be born, so how come we have to go through all this?’. Well that might be true but we are created beings. Think about that.

God created us.

Reflect on what we create with love and attention. Surely God did the same for each of us? If that’s case then we weren’t just created, we were chosen, we are an expression, we are a largely unexpressed desire, of All That Is! This is a mind-boggling thought.

special destiny

And because we are chosen we each have a special destiny! You know when children play, they have a fantastic time and they truly believe that what they’re doing is valuable and special. We need to remind ourselves of that same spirit. We’re living and breathing in God’s playground, learning special skills and expressing unique actions. Let’s claim our special destiny and make our time on this planet the best we can!!

How Gratitude Leads to Happiness!

Nine-tenths of wisdom is appreciation. Go find somebody’s hand and squeeze it, while there’s time. Dale Dauten

gratitude

Appreciating others and great situations is really all about gratitude. We notice what’s good around us and then we act on that observation. We act by saying a loving word to another or just by being thankful for what we have. Nine-tenths of happiness is gratitude.

action

How often do our good intentions just stay intentions? How often do we regret not acting on something positive? How bad would we feel if it’s too late to express our love to someone who might not be around tomorrow? So now’s the time! Let’s figure out what’s most important, in fact, who’s most important in our lives and make them feel like the special person they are! Let’s get off our ‘buts’ and just do it!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM thankful for the great people who surround me!

Where Art Thou?

10.17 … in meditation, how shall I ever know thee? And in what manifestations shall I think of thee, my Lord? The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 10)

the cry

Arjuna, in this epic tale, implores the God Person, Krishna, to reveal to mankind how God is to be known and recognized. This is the archetypal call that each human makes, and must make, to understand reality and his place in the Universe. What are we crying for? What are you crying for?

seeking

In everything that we do, we’re seeking. We seek for our identity, our place, our call, our significance, really our raison d’être. And in that seeking is the journey experienced, and in experiencing that journey is found life’s meaning and a deep fulfillment. We are extremely fortunate. In ages to come, we’ll look back at this amazing, short, intense, birthing experience on this planet with longing. Never again will we experience life at this coarse level, never again will we enjoy so much meaning and learning in such a short period of time. Let’s live, love and learn, that’s the only way forward!!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM a seeker.

Fearless Living

When a resolute young fellow steps up to the great bully, the world, and takes him boldly by the beard, he is often surprised to find it comes off in his hand, and that it was only tied on to scare away the timid adventurers. Ralph Waldo Emerson

the unknown

The world, this life, can be a scary place. The fear is often unfounded. It’s fear of the unknown and we’re helpless because of our need for adventure and excitement. We have no choice but to carry on… else we stagnate due to procrastination. And that’s a scary place as well. Eventually we discover that most things that we feared either never came to pass or if they did happen we’re able to laugh at our anticipation and expectation of it!

ultimate safety –> fearless living

Remember the Holodeck in Star Trek? It’s a fancy and futuristic virtual world where experiences are real until we come back to present reality. What we gain from that ‘virtual reality’, like meaning and wisdom, is very real. Life is in some sense, just like that. We’re safe. We’re safe because we hail from the eternal. Our Father is the God of it all. We can live fearless lives if we just choose to. How will we choose to live today?

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM safe therefore fearless!

How To Create What We Want…

Sometimes you gotta create what you want to be a part of. Dr. Geri Weitzman

create

We must always create that which we want to be a part of. We’ve done it in our lives already. We’ve taken the initiative to get into relationships with people and companies to get where we are today. And we must continue.

purposeful effort

It’s our very purpose to create, we’re children of the creator! And to create purposefully is the most fulfilling activity we can undertake. To be purposeful though we must know what’s most important to us, which direction we’re headed and what fulfills us most. Once we know or have an inkling, then we need to start taking action. We might try 5 or 10 things and maybe one will lead to that which is most aligned to our Life Purpose. The trick is to

  1. assume we’re creative already,
  2. take steps to discover our Life Purpose and
  3. try things tied to that purpose.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM creatively purposeful!
