Living right…

There is no real excellence in all this world which can be separated from right living.David Starr Jordan

Right Living:

Right Living can mean so many things. Are you living right if you’re living your life purpose? If you create happiness and live in happiness are you living right? What does right living have to do with you and with society at large?

Unified Personality:

A unified personality might be the answer. One that is developing equally mentally, physically, spiritually and is balanced in its life approach. An approach that combines the Mind, Body and Soul.

You need all three to enable effective service to others which might be the highest goal for any human, and which leads directly to God.

God’s thoughts for us…

I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts; the rest are details.Albert Einstein

What does God think of us?

What does he think for us? If God created all reality; he is the very source of all that is. It would be rather cool if we knew his thoughts; her purpose for all that’s going on!

Our purpose:

I believe that at least at the individual level it’s quite possible for us to know of God’s plans. I also believe that it’s part of our purpose, maybe even the purpose for us to find our place in God’s universe, our relationship with the Godhead.

Your thoughts? How do we go about this quest?

Direct your thoughts…

Always  direct your thoughts to those truths that will give you confidence, hope, joy, love, thanksgiving, and turn away your mind from those that inspire you with fear, sadness, depression.Bertrand Wilbertforce

You are thine own master. Your whole life flows from your thoughts and what you do with those thoughts. Remember your primary role in your own life and its execution.

It all starts with your thoughts.

Know whence they originate; under what circumstances; what you do with them; how they might control you; become conscious of your thoughts and enable control over how each day and the rest of your life turns out!

Your life, a canvas…

The world is but a canvas to the imagination.Henry David Thoreau

So is our life. So is everyone else’s life. As is the collective created by the population of a country and the entire world.

Think about the responsibility you own; responsibility for your own life, responsibility for and in partnership with family and a huge responsibility to the rest of the planet. As we think, as we imagine, as we design and execute, so we reap. Some of our small and inconsequential thoughts might result in the most amazing consequences. And some of our grandest ambitions might be for naught.

There is nothing to fear though; all is well as we play and enjoy this life that we’ve been gifted. The whole world is a playground, a canvas indeed! Let’s go out, play and splash some color around!

Living with honor

The greatest way to live with honor in this world is to be what we pretend to be.Socrates

We pretend so many things. We portray, often, a different person than we truly are, to others.

Pay attention to what it is that we try to portray to others. Are those qualities that lead to more Truth, greater Beauty and deeper Goodness?

If so then it’s incumbent upon us to truly be those qualities. Here’s an example: We’re often super nice to folks outside our home. Certainly that’s a great quality to have. Now how about we make it real so that we’re truly nice, most of the time, even with family? That would mean we won’t have to pretend any more. It would mean we’re being honest to our core and living with honor!

The greatest power!

The greatest power is often simple patience.E. Joseph Cossman

Patience can and does go a long way. Peer into your mind and you’ll find many areas, habits, goals and desires where you’re not being patient. You want a certain result and you want it real soon! How realistic is that? And does that impatience really get you what you want? Is what you want; a real need?

You’ll find a great satisfaction and yes a great power when you can just let things be. If you don’t chase anything, but instead are patient, that thing tends to come to you much sooner. Discover that power, the power of patience! Try it on one particular life aspect after you recognize your impatience with it and see what happens! As events turn you’ll either be surprised with that which you always wanted or you’ll discover that what turned up in your life instead is far better for you.

Your choice!

You can choose to be a person who has resulted simply from what has happened, or from what you’ve chosen to be and do about what has happened.Neale Donald Walsch

It’s really up to you.

How you react to life events is a decision you make! Jack Canfield shares the following formula:

E + R = O

Event plus our reaction to that event results in an outcome. The event is what it is; how we choose to be (sad, happy, indifferent etc.) and to do (shout, smile, lash out, learn…) is a choice we make every time.

Our peace is entirely up to us because we control our reaction to all external stimuli. How do you choose to react? Rather how do you choose to be?
