Why Angels Surround Us!

To accept the guidance of a seraphim rarely means attaining a life of ease. In following this leading you are sure to encounter, and if you have the courage, to traverse, the rugged hills of moral choosing and spiritual progress.  – The Urantia Papers

meaningful life

I’m enjoying reading a very touching book by Mary C. Neal M.D. ‘To Heaven And Back’ these days. Mary shares numerous events from her life where the hand-of-God is very evident. She ‘dies’ during a kayaking accident in Chile and experiences first-hand what we all will probably experience sooner or later. God and his angelic helpers are constantly around us! They’re forever working to make life more meaningful to us. Their involvement in our lives becomes more focused when we invite God into our lives.

rejoice, pray and thank!

Soon after her accident Mary tries to read a Gideon Bible at the hospital. Her vision is very blurry though so she’s unable to read any words on the pages. As she thumbs through some of the pages she’s astonished to notice that the following 3 quotes stand out very clearly:

  • “Rejoice always.” —1 Thessalonians 5:16 (ESV)
  • “Pray without ceasing.” —1 Thessalonians 5:17 (ESV)
  • “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God’s in Christ Jesus for you.” —1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV)

What great advice for all of us! Mary’s book is highly recommended if we’re looking to be comforted about God’s involvement in our daily lives!

Daily Affirmation: Today I acknowledge my angelic helpers, thank you!!

Why We Are Wizards…

Be in awe and wonder at the magnificence of you!  – Rhonda Byrne

self-loathing

What don’t we like about ourselves? Our skin, our hair, our bodies? Our background, our parents, our upbringing? Our relationships, our jobs, the country? Where do these thought patterns emerge from? The more we revel in these vibrations, the more of the same is pulled into our experience… Why, you might ask? Because we are children of the Creator and thoughts are the magical incantations we use to create reality. We are wizards indeed…

love you

These thought patterns are alterable. We can select patterns that’ll support our well being. We can start appreciating what we have and what we are. We then activate the very spells that’ll paint the new reality. We attract all that is good into our lives…

Daily Affirmation: Today I love because that’s the highest of all vibrations!!

What It Takes To Relax…

Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.  – Chinese Proverb

what ought to be

Tension is what we think we should be. Stress is made up of regrets of the past and anticipation of the future. Turmoil is when we appear to lose control over our lives. Despair is when nothing seems to go right. We’re unhappy and fearful because we think it’s all up to us.

what is

We can be relaxed when we’re good with what we are. We’re peaceful when we trust that all is well. We’re joyous when we realize that we’re God’s own children! Let’s live up to the faith we’re capable of, let’s relax in the bosom of this friendly and loving Universe in which we reside. All is well, all will continue to stay well!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM relaxed because I AM.

Why Here And Why Now?

No longer forward nor behind
I look in hope or fear;
But, grateful, take the good I find,
The best of now and here.

John Greenleaf Whittier

auto pilot

Thinking is a faculty we bring to bear in our lives. We initiate it, we guide it and we execute it. Because we do so much thinking it has become automatic. We’ve lost control of our own thinking, it now controls us. So the question is do we assert control over our own mind or do we behave as though it’s not up to us?? Will we seize the good and the positive around us or will we succumb to fear and negativity?

now and here

Right here and at this very moment life is focalized in and around us. Blood courses through our veins and arteries, air eases in and out of our lungs, our brain is active in more ways than one and we are alive!! The whole planet teams with life as it also sings to the tunes of the infinite. If we enjoy this beautiful melody that is life itself, playing all around and inside us, we’ll know that we’re an integral part of this great enterprise. We’ll also realize that here and now is where we must be, this is where life itself intersects with Time and Space…

What is Meditation??

Meditation is the life of the soul: Action, the soul of meditation...  – Francis Quarles

meditation?

What is it? How do we do it? Why is it important?

zen

The quote above is actually a great definition of ‘Zen’. Meditation is when we draw closer to our soul, our inner self, the divinity that we carry around with us… We may approach reality through various means like contemplation, mantras, stillness, prayer, art, nature and Life itself. When we move about alert and present we move in consort with reality. Meditation then spills into action. Each moment is a holy one…

What Is Faith?

Infinite patience produces immediate results.  – A Course in Miracles (ACIM)

what?

We want things now. We want people to just understand us. We want everything taken care of ASAP. We are inherently impatient. We worry about our future and think that we must figure it all out. We lack faith.

faith

To have faith is to be patient. To trust in God is to have patience. When we can let go, when we breathe more deeply, when we believe then we’re practicing ‘infinite patience’. As soon as we adopt this posture, we can rest, we’re at peace. We can more easily access our intuition when we’re peaceful, trusting and patient. Let’s develop this muscle daily!

How To Master Life!

The process of Mastery, then, is one of acceptance. It is a quiet embracing of what is. It is a non-resistance. It is a gentle walking into the moment, knowing that it holds for us, always, what is best for us [in] all ways.Neale Donald Walsch

one answer

If there was ever one answer to the question, ‘How should one live daily’, it would be: ‘Embrace what is’…

let it be = mastery

We must recognize what is and embrace it fully. Then, while being led by Spirit, we can do all that might be necessary and possible. It’s like swimming down the river, flowing with it, without thrashing about, gently changing course towards one edge or the other… In this state we’re peaceful and we don’t compare our progress with any other swimmer because we know that the river itself is headed to the Ocean…

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM a believer, therefore I let go…
