Self Observation

Self-observation is an instrument of self-change, a means of awakening.George Gurdjieff

hypnotic state

Our lives are lived in a state that’s best described as hypnotic. Often we don’t catch a breath in our daily super busy lives. We’re not aware of where the day went, what we set out to do, what we noticed along the way if anything. There’s not likely to be a moment when we sat down and reflected on what’s going on, no chance we actually smelt a rose!

catch and hold your breath

Catching a breath is actually a great place to begin. Find times during the day when you can breathe deeply for a couple of minutes. Even hold your breath for a bit and let all the oxygen be absorbed into your lungs. Now look around, notice where you are, what you set out to do and collect your thoughts. What kind of thoughts are you creating?

Daily Affirmation: Today I am aware of my body, actions, thoughts and purpose.
