Why We Need More Feminity!

In a day and generation when a man was not supposed to salute even his own wife in a public place, Jesus dared to take women along as teachers of the gospel… – The Truth Book

woman

Woman is the bedrock of society. She’s the cornerstone of a family unit. Without the balancing and calming female energy in any situation the effort is likely to become too aggressive and overshoot its mandate. The feminine energy can be the calming balm that’s necessary in the world today. Whenever we need resolution to a touchy topic or an argument, let’s seek the ‘feminine’ approach!

yin & yang

Divinity expresses itself equally via the 2 material channels. The male and the female, the ‘on’ and the ‘off’, up and down, electron and proton. The world today is still male dominated when it comes to ideas and policies. When we truly need peace to prevail we’ll want the feminine energy to balance the masculine!

Daily Affirmation: Today I yield to inevitabilities.

What’s The Highest Knowledge?

18.20 When one sees Eternity in things that pass away and Infinity in finite things, then one has pure knowledge. – The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 18)

the spiritual

The creator put her essence and signature into her handiwork. These abundant clues clearly point to the spiritual basis for all that we see and experience. We’re living a spiritual life even when we don’t know it! So why not do so consciously and reap the benefits!?

fruits of the spiritual life

The Gita reminds us of our spiritual heritage and destiny. With the spiritual life come the fruits of Spirit:

  • A sweet more friendly nature
  • A natural smile borne of an unassailable faith in God and his goodness
  • A forgiving kind nature
  • A peace beyond mortal understanding
  • A love that culminates in service of others and
  • a joy that’s hard to fathom

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM a fruit of Spirit!

What It Takes To Be Real!

They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel. – Carl Buechner

from the heart

Let’s be real. When we listen, let’s really listen, when we help, let’s help with all our heart and soul, and when we say something, let’s really mean it. That’s the essential trick to making a lasting impact on any person!

eternal

When we’re being real and operate from the heart we have an eternal impact on the people and events we touch. How, you might ask? It’s my firm belief that the only things of spiritual import, events to do with people and relationships, last forever. How can we make every interaction eternal?

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM real!

What Habits Do To Us!

Cultivate only the habits that you are willing should master you. – Elbert Hubbard

habits die hard

We’re creatures of habit. All our habits spring from the realm of thought and energy which is why they’re so hard to unseat!

  • Assumptions: What do we assume about self, others and life? For example do we assume good health?
  • Beliefs: What do we believe about the universe, where we come from and where we’re going? Do we believe that we’ll always have enough?
  • Attitudes: How do we approach tasks, our future and people? Do we have a ‘can-do’ attitude?

How can we examine our base habits?

create

We can’t always choose. We’re born into a whole set of familial vibrations that initially make up our assumptions, beliefs and attitudes. Slowly we build life habits that predict the rest of our lives.

As we become aware of our life programming we have the creative opportunity to replace habits that don’t work with ones that do! Will we master self or allow habits to master us?

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM the master of my destiny!

Why Love?

…the moment you have in your heart this extraordinary thing called love and feel the depth, the delight, the ecstasy of it, you will discover that for you the world is transformed. – Paramahansa Yogananda

why love?

Love is a constant theme of this blog! And it’ll continue to be one! Why?

Because the only way forward is through love. The answer to any question is love itself. The only way to banish fear is via love. When love occupies the heart, fear cannot co-exist. Love creates this Universe. It’s the language and the currency of All That Is. Until we understand the importance of cultivating love in our hearts, we’ll stay confused. Love can guide our every step. It banishes all doubt. It’s the way and the only thing that’ll save our planet.

awakening love

How can we awaken the love that’s at our very core? By recognition and practice. When we walk around flowing with and in love, our entire world is transformed.

  1. We must recognize first that it’s something we desire. Can’t reach a goal if we don’t know what it is.
  2. Practice stillness. Such a practice quietens our mind and allows the love inside expression in our lives.
  3. Practice Loving Kindness: Let’s walk around smiling, exuding love and expressing our love through genuine kindness and service. We reap what we practice.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM love incarnate!

Why We Must Drink Sunshine!

Whenever you go out of doors, draw the chin in, carry the crown of the head high, and fill the lungs to the utmost; drink in the sunshine; greet your friends with a smile, and put soul into every handclasp. – Elbert Hubbard

the way to be

We are children of God. We can walk upright and be confident in our spiritual birthright. All is well for those who walk daily with God.

soulful existence

By putting soul into all that we do, including our greetings, our smiles and our interactions with others, we become active conduits for God’s grace and love. That’s our purpose.

What’s The Finest Gift We Can Give?

17.20 A gift is pure when it is given from the heart to the right person at the right time and at the right place, and when we expect nothing in return. – The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 17)

why?

Why do we give? We give because we want the recipient to love us and appreciate us. God first gave of herself and when we’re attuned to her we’re compelled to give as well. A gift lands softly in its spot when it’s enrobed in love and fulfills the true needs of the receiver. Such a giver requires nothing in return.

the finest gift

A gift of true understanding and of loved filled service to another is the most we can ever give. Most people are crying out to be understood, to be heard. No one can ever be in our shoes so we’re desperate to be appreciated for what we are. A nonjudgmental gift of true listening, one that overflows with love is the finest gift possible.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM a giver of love and appreciation.
