How To Live Strong!

Strong lives are motivated by dynamic purposes.Kenneth Hildebrand

a life of purpose

Your purpose, what is it?

Let’s dissect further. You.

  • Who are you?
  • What’s your place in this Universe?
  • Where are you headed?
  • Why do you matter?

It’s your purpose next.

  • Why do you exist?
  • What meaning does your life and activities have?
  • What difference are you meant to make?

If you haven’t examined your self and your life purpose, now is the time!

affirmations

I AM a purposeful child of God! I AM directed by Spirit and am confident that I AM moving in the right direction. Everywhere I look I see signs that guide me. God has a divine purpose for me. I discover a bit of that purpose daily. I understand why people are so important. I care more for people than things. I look for opportunities to love and serve. I AM supremely thankful for this gift that I AM living.

How Can We Get There?

Perfections of means and confusion of goals seem – in my opinion to – characterize our age.Albert Einstein

which goal, how?

We think we know what we want and we also think we know how to get there. Often we’re mistaken on both counts.

If we don’t know what we really want, the ways we choose to get to those goals don’t matter. If we know what we want but the methods we choose are not the right ones, then it gets frustrating. Which is why frustration abounds on this planet. We’re focused on some goal, through means that we try and perfect. As we try and perfect these means we forget our end goal, we get lost in the means, along the way… We must know and remember what we truly desire. It’s important that we follow our North Star! Do we know how to find it? Do we know how to stay on track?

affirmations

Today I AM guided by my internal North Star. I get still and listen. I follow the prompts from my ‘still, small voice’. I also look for the constant clues that surround me. The Universe is a living entity that constantly guides me. I AM protected and safe. I play in a most fancy and interactive playground. I like to play, and I enjoy living! I AM very thankful.

Why To Kick The Comfort Zone?

One doesn’t discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time.Andre Gide

growth

It’s that comfort zone again, that keeps drawing us down and forces us to cruise along blissfully neglecting our own growth. Growth is very important. Why? Because without the sense of achievement that comes from meaningful growth we feel empty, unfulfilled and depressed about life.

We must have meaningful goals to achieve, and constantly so. That doesn’t mean we have to be driven like rats. We can stay mindful, calm and know that we pursue worthwhile goals without neglecting what’s important in the Now. And growth ought to be balanced across the physical, mental (emotional) and spiritual dimensions.

affirmations

I AM a free child of God. I AM fearless. I can take on new goals and projects without apprehension. I understand that at one level all life is play and that I AM a child in a playground. I explore and I conquer. And I do it with all kinds of invisible help from the Universe. I AM blessed, just like everyone else!

What Mantras Do We Use?

Your words are simply the thoughts of yours that will become things the soonest. The Universe

refrains=mantras

What are our common refrains? Do we often say things like: ‘Life isn’t fair’, ‘I hate traffic’, ‘I hate person x’, ‘This thing never works’, ‘Why does this happen to me all the time’? Guess what, words manifest into reality. We should be very careful choosing not just our thoughts but the words we utter. Words uttered as refrains become our mantras. Mantras are powerful!

affirmations=mantras

I AM God’s child. All things good happen to me today and everyday. It all works out for me. I end up in the right place and at the right time. Everyone loves me. I love everyone and am ready to serve them. People give me what I need. Life is endlessly generous to me. I AM happy.

Where To Next?

Follow your bliss.Joseph Campbell

bliss

The words are very precise, Joseph doesn’t say follow your desires or follow your happiness…

Bliss is defined as follows by the Dictionary:

  • complete happiness: perfect happiness
  • spiritual joy: a state of spiritual joy

The definition begs the question, what isperfect happinessand/orspiritual joy’?

We must answer that for self. And to answer that question we must know self.

So know self first, understand what makes us happy for the long run, understand our bliss and follow it…

affirmations

Today I AM following my bliss. I notice what makes me happy. I understand the tasks that fulfill me. I recognize the people who lift me and complete me. I find happiness assisting others. I AM guided by Spirit which gently leads me to a state of spiritual joy. I see God in everyone else and my whole day is blissful!

Why We Are Like Seeds…

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.  – Oliver Wendell Holmes

seeds

We are like seeds. A seed comes with all that it needs to grow into a mighty oak. It dances with Nature to extract water/sunshine and provides life-giving fruit and shade. Let’s discover the seed that we are, deep inside. Once we make contact we’ll have the means to be rejuvenated and motivated like never before! We will grow like a strong oak and know self. We will then give to those around us, in ways no one else can.

affirmations

I AM a child of God. I AM a son of the Universe. Seeds of greatness, loveliness, creativity and goodness lie inside me. Today I water these seeds with the right thoughts and actions. I AM thrilled with my life. All is well!

What Did We Not Do?

Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for things we did not do that is inconsolable.Sydney J. Harris

regret?

Other regrets come from ways we couldn’t be. And I think these regrets are worse. However if we find our Life Purpose and know how to be blissfully happy then any regret can be minimized. Regrets that we harbor cost us deeply. They stifle our growth and keep us from moving forward. This is also true of people (self included) or situations that we haven’t been able to forgive. Take this quote with a grain of salt! Understand that we must try and be all that we’re capable of and at the same time we don’t want regret to sully your life experience today! We have an eternity ahead of us to get it all done!

affirmations

Today I AM happy that eternity smiles at me. I have all the time I need to get it all done. I’ll have opportunities beyond my earthly life if some business is left unfinished. All wrongs and all regrets will be erased by time and by God. I rest easy and everything gets handled easily. Life has a great way of working out when I have the right attitude. My life is beautiful!
