What Silence Leads To…

6.30 And when he sees me in all and he sees all in me, then I never leave him and he never leaves me.

6.31 He who in this oneness of love, loves me in whatever he sees, wherever this man may live, in truth this man lives in me. The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 6)

god realization

Meditation, silence and a life of love-soaked service leads to an ever increasing realization of God. This ‘realization’ consists of seeing God in everything and everything in God according to this holy book of the Hindus.

love…

What emerges from this ‘vision’ of life is that love abounds and is the underpinning of reality itself. Love of God and by extension love for others reveals how we’re all connected at the deepest level. We are all brothers out on an eternal adventure that keeps unfolding…

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM one with all, in love.

How To Walk The Talk …

We all have to start with ourselves. It is time to walk the talk. Take the journey of making very difficult decisions. Start removing things from your life that are not filling your cup and adding things that bring joy in to your life.Lisa Hammond

truth

Being true to self is super tough. It’s so hard to look at self with objectivity. How can we do it when we live in ourselves? But that is what’s required if we’re going to progress in our relationship to self, to others and to the world.

reflection

With reflection comes greater self-knowledge. Journaling on deep-soul questions is an amazing way to reflect, here’s a blog I had written on it. As we reflect through journaling and meditation we grow. That in turn allows us to simplify our lives. A simple life is a joyous one.

Daily Affirmation: Today I reflect and simplify.

How Will You Know What You Want?

Most people are so busy knocking themselves out trying to do everything they think they should, they never get around to do what they want to do.Kathleen Winsor

doing

We all are doing too much, daily. If we won’t stop and listen to our heart, to the divine calling, awaken to our real purpose in life, we will end up being resentful old people! We don’t want that do we?

eureka!

Where and when do you get your best ideas?

I get mine while in the shower, when shaving or meditating! Archimedes got his in the tub. Churchill on the pot! It’s when we’re truly ‘being’ that we receive a lot of inspiration. And that’s the key, to sprinkle ‘being’ moments through-out our day. That’s the way to stay connected to ‘source’. We will then know what to stop doing and what to do next instead of having no real clue. The following is advice I gave to a coaching client, I try and live the same advice:

Every hour, if you can, just stop for a few minutes. Sit. Breathe deeply. Know that the divine is with you, where you are, at that moment. Ask for help and get going again….

Daily Affirmation: Today I stop, breathe, connect, then go.

Living Our General Life Purpose…

Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or the darkness of destructive selfishness. Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?Martin Luther King Jr.

darkness

It’s rather dark when we’re all about ourselves and focused primarily on what’s important to us. The whole economy of the Universe appears to hinge on integration, on cooperation and on the growth of the whole as well as the individual. We cannot have real meaning in our lives and certainly no lasting fulfillment if our efforts and time are not primarily spent on others and larger goals.

light

The universal light shines a bit brighter on us when we decide to devote a larger part of our lives to others. Fulfillment really is that simple because when we do that a few things happen:

  1. The Universe (via Angels and other forces) guides our efforts.
  2. Life for others and us improves, gets better.
  3. We become happier.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM my brother’s keeper.

How Love Is Born …

The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in.  – Morrie Schwartz

receive first

Last week I had shared the above quote with you; wanted to revisit it because it’s so central to all that we truly need. We all seek happiness and fulfillment. That may come via worldly pursuits such as relationships, career and money. But truly what we seek at a deep level is simply love and security. We can’t manufacture love. That’s because it’s a central reality of the Universe and God the creator is its source. We must receive the love first. That’s the only way we can experience it and the only way we can possibly shower it on any one else. To receive loads of love there are 2 requirements:

  1. We must think it’s possible to receive it; then ask for it.
  2. We must be whole enough to receive it.

Step one is accomplished via prayer. Step 2 is made possible when we ask for forgiveness and forgive all around us. Guilt, fear and love cannot coexist.

then conduit it…

One essential life purpose, it’s clear, is to receive and conduit the currency of the universe, love… Love is what ties us to our creator and to each other. It’s what will eventually create the network that will lead to the spiritual dawn this planet yearns for. And the only way to fully experience and increase the love that we ask for and receive, is it to then pass it along. Love increases as we give it away. Why is that? Because we actually live it and feel it as we give it away, the person who receives it experiences it as well, so by giving our love to just one more person we’ve doubled it!

Daily Affirmation: Today I channel the love I receive. I give so that I can have.

What’s Most Important To Me?

The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in.  – Morrie Schwartz

what?

What’s most important to me? If we dwell on and journal this question often we’ll be all but forced to live a fulfilling life. How can I use my time most effectively? Once we  know what’s most important to us, we can think about how to spend our time. The rest follows automatically!

this week’s quote above!

This blog is off during the week of February 28th, see you back on March 7th!

Daily Affirmation: This week I dwell on that which is most important.

Why Change Our Perception?

Inside yourself or outside, you never have to change what you see, only the way you see it.Thaddeus Golas

change others!

We are driven. Driven to mold others in our own image. We know all the answers, we can help others be better and we know how to help others end their suffering. Heck we even know how the world can be a better place, we just know it all Smile!!

change self

Love the quote above! If we changed the way we view self and the world, we’d be a lot happier. The way to see an object is to see it as it is, not color it with our past experiences of it. The way to see people is to see them as they truly are and to recognize the magnificence that they often hide. The way to see our selves is to see with a soft, loving and forgiving gaze, knowing that we shall triumph and that all will be well!

Daily Affirmation: Today I truly see.
