We must not lose faith in anyone around us. We’re all diamonds in the rough and still have a lot of polishing to endure. Until we emerge brilliant we ought to be patient with the other sparklers around us!

This principle applies to us foremost. Do we feel disheartened when we fail to live up to our own high standards? Does that lead to giving up on our efforts? Do we excoriate ourselves often? Can we cut our own self some slack? It’s time we became gentle towards self so that we can then be gentle towards all others…
