How To Be Free…

The conscious mind knows the secret of living impersonally.  – Vernon Howard

impersonal

The whole world doesn’t revolve around us. When someone says something or appears to mean a certain thing, it’s not aimed at us! And what if it is?

Once we get that, we’re free. We couldn’t care less about what the whole world thinks. We’re still a loving and caring individual of course, but we’re not unduly affected by others.

A conscious mind is one that’s aware of where our thoughts come from and what they lead to. We are then conscious of all our reactions to events. Our reactions to or lack thereof determine how peaceful one can be.

When we don’t think that the whole world or others are conspiring against us, we can be at ease. And that’s the goal. Once we’re at ease we’re a more effective human being in all arenas of life!

affirmations

Today I AM free because I know the world doesn’t revolve around me. I AM important and enough just as I AM. I live consciously and know which thoughts I create. I know how my thoughts affect me. I AM a master.

Why We Suffer…

Fill your mind with the meaningless stimuli of a world preoccupied with meaningless things, and it will not be easy to feel peace in your heart.  – Marianne Williamson

focus

We’re focused on meaningless stuff and activities. That’s the reason we suffer. As we become aware of this constant chatter, ongoing inside the head, we start to quiet our mind. Just by being more conscious! As we become more still, the peace and joy that resides within us, has a chance to emerge, and it does!

affirmations

Today I AM focused on meaningful things. I catch myself when I dwell on useless stuff. I AM a child of God and will act like one!

How To Make A Life…

Your daily life is your temple and your religion. Whenever you enter into it take with you your all. Kahlil Gibran

holy moment

There are no special events, no special days or places. It’s all relevant, all sacred, it’s here, now, it’s around us and there too. There are no special people. Everyone we meet or interact with is super special. Let’s be fully present, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and regard every moment as a holy one.

affirmations

Today I AM present. I live fully. I breathe in deeply. I trust. I hope. I live. Now.

Why Our Thoughts Matter

An idea doesn’t leave its source. A Course in Miracles (ACIM)

our thoughts!

Whatever we think impacts us more than anyone else. We must live with the vibrations our thoughts generate. It behooves us to carefully choose and nurture our thoughts.

affirmations

Today I understand how my thoughts impact me. I choose lovely thoughts. I choose thoughts that are beautiful, true and good. I thus become the same as my thoughts. I create myself daily and I design the life I end up living.

How We Self Sabotage!

It is hard to fight an enemy who has outposts in your head. Sally Kempton

saboteur

We have an internal saboteur, a gremlin, who keeps rearing its ugly head, several times a day, sometimes all day. Once we can recognize that naysayer inside us, the very act of becoming aware of it, diminishes its power over us. With practice we can let our real self, our strong, powerful, positive self, emerge. The fear subsides and the path becomes clearer by the day. The first step must be to recognize this negative voice inside us…

affirmations

Today I AM kicking my internal saboteur in its butt! I will banish all negative thoughts! I AM a child of God, I AM positive inside and out. I think lovely thoughts and do lovely deeds. I AM proud of myself and my potential!
