Why We Must Relax…

All is well, and you will never get it done.  – Abraham

relax

All is well. Let’s relax and have fun. If we’re kids in a Universe created by God then what do we have to worry about?

play

Let’s not take life or work too seriously. Focus instead on playing. It’ll never all get done so let go. Relax. Take it easy. ‘Tis the season!

How To Find Peace…

Live simply and take life more easily. Happiness lies in giving yourself time to think and to introspect. Be alone once in a while, and remain more in silence.  – Paramahansa Yogananda

a simple life

How can we lead a simpler life? Simple thinking will translate into simple living. Let’s practice that this week…

more silence

Solitude and silence restore the soul. As we draw closer to Truth within we realize the value of silence. We are then guided by a force much greater than us…

Where To Find Peace?

There is an ancient peace you carry in your heart and have not lost.  – A Course in Miracles – ACIM

running?

We’re constantly running, just like our thoughts. Our thoughts are like the waves of an ocean. A deep calm lies under the apparent turmoil on the surface.

peace

We can readily access this peace. A first step is to become a watcher of our thoughts and not get carried away with them. The witness of these thoughts can be at peace. Try it…

What Are We Afraid Of?

We yearn for a moment’s peace and quiet, only to turn on the radio, make a phone call, or run an errand as soon as an opportunity for solitude presents itself.  – Ronnie Polaneczky

afraid to die?

We fill our life with motion. Incessantly. Why?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ponder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I think it’s because we’re running away from ourselves. We do need action in life, just not constant action. At some level we’re afraid of facing our deep, apparently lonely, self. We feel more alive when we’re moving. Life is movement. When we’re still and without interaction; at a very deep level, we fear our mortality

pause

Let’s pause; focus on our breathing. Slowly, find self calming down. Our mind will want to race, let it, don’t attach any attention to it or to its production, which are thoughts.

Once we start getting used to being still, at rest, a peace will start to descend, actually emerge from within. Then we will know that we’ve never been alone.

Why We’re Special!

The universe is not an accident, neither is it self-existent. The universe is a work of creation…  – The Urantia Papers (3:6.2)

created

We’re special because we were created. Created by a loving God who’s more enigmatic than we’ll ever realize.

personal

Even though God is infinite he can relate to us as a person. This simple Truth can liberate us from most of our suffering. God is at hand, will listen and will guide us forward. Let’s accept it and be at peace…

A Creed To Live By?

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.  Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.  – Christian D. Larson

a creed

Thanks to a friend I came across the above quote last week! Decided to break up the larger quote into smaller sized bites. Just another reminder for all of us…

Why It’s Time To Move On!

Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.  – Christian D. Larson

forgive

Let’s forgive and consequently forget all that didn’t work in the past. Now is brand new, as are we. We can start afresh today. The future is ours to design…

envision

Let’s envision the future we desire. One where happiness and laughter rein. If enough of us do this collectively we will make our planet heavenly!
