How To Play!

The world is but a canvas to the imagination.  – Henry David Thoreau

play!

So is our life, a canvas. As is everyone else’s life. And the experiences created by the population of a country and the entire world. Think about the responsibility we own; responsibility for our own life, responsibility for and in partnership with family and towards the rest of the planet. As we think, as we imagine, as we design and execute, so we reap. Some of our small and inconsequential thoughts may result in the most amazing consequences. And some of our grandest ambitions might be for naught.

fearful?

There is nothing to fear though; all is well as we play and enjoy this life that we’ve been given. The whole world is a playground, a canvas indeed! Let’s go out, play and splash some color around!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM playing without fear!

Using A Hammer?

If you only have a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.  – Abraham Harold Maslow

hammer?

How often do we use a hammer to solve just about every problem?

We do this by:

  • Being set in our own ways
  • By only looking at people and issues with past-colored glasses
  • By thinking we already know the answer
  • By thinking of a response when another is still talking
  • By not sitting and just being, trying to jump in to fix a situation or problem
  • Through our habitual thinking patterns

hypnotized

When will we snap out of this hypnotic way of being? When we do then the sunlight appears more alive, the air more fragrant; we connect with the other person and Life itself at a deeper level.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM awake and alive!

Always  direct your thoughts to those truths that will give you confidence, hope, joy, love, thanksgiving, and turn away your mind from those that inspire you with fear, sadness, depression.  – Bertrand Wilbertforce

master?

You are thine own master or at least ought to be! Our whole life flows from our thoughts and what we do with those thoughts. Let’s be cognizant of our primary role in our own life.

thoughts

It all starts with our thoughts. Know whence they originate; under what circumstances; what we do with them; and how they might control us. Let’s become conscious of our thoughts and enable control over how each day and the rest of your life turns out!

How To Live An Eloquent Life!

Be patient. Be wise in your counsel and eloquent in your lives.  – The Urantia Papers

be patient

What does it mean to be patient? To me it means being patient first with self. We shouldn’t have expectations that create a life that’s too hectic, one that allows not for true rest and reflection. It also means be patient with all others; don’t want others to live at the same pace we want to live. It means being patient with all other things in life. Flow with life; don’t feel anxious when things don’t transpire just the way we expect them to. Try to see the purpose in everything.

eloquent life

We should be wise in our counsel to others; give advice only when asked for it; and apply our words to the person and the situation. Eloquence in our lives comes from living the life that we preach or aspire to. Let others imbibe in what we most want them to know through how we live our life. Words are not necessary.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM living eloquently!

How Gratitude Transforms!

Remember, if you are criticizing, you are not being grateful. If you are blaming, you are not being grateful. If you are complaining, you are not being grateful. If you are feeling tension, you are not being grateful. If you are rushing, you are not being grateful. If you are in a bad mood, you are not being grateful.

Gratitude can transform your life. Are you allowing minor things to get in the way of your transformation and the life you deserve?Rhonda Byrne

really?

When we complain we’re focused on lack. When hurrying we’re saying we don’t have enough time and that an opportunity is slipping away. When angry we’re really saying that things aren’t right. And when tight-fisted we’re declaring that we don’t have enough. What’s our general attitude towards life?

thankful

When we’re grateful, we’re truly happy with things as they are. We’re patient, faithful and expectant of the finest. It really is up to how we think and approach life! What a great reminder, thanks Rhonda!
