A friend shared the following via Whatsapp the other day: ‘Life begins where fear ends’. In the ensuing discussion I asked him: ‘how does one end fear’? That has to be one of the most important questions that we ought to answer for our selves.

Truly where love exists there’s no place for fear. We might feel fear the moment after we’ve experienced pure love, but the two cannot co-exist. That explains why the masters exhort us to love one another. If we can focus on and cultivate love then there’s not going to be much fear in our lives…

God is reality. She is love. And she is joy. Truly God must be all these things. And a lot more.

If God is all these things then surely he wants us to be the same way? When we hear ‘God’s will be done’ what it really means is that we ought to live as he’d like us to. If we’re not living a joyous life then we’re not doing God’s will on earth. If we’re not doing his will then God is incomplete.

It’s hard to fathom why we exist and God’s part in everything. Apparently love plays a huge part. Also it seems that God’s very essence and his motivation is love. What does this mean for us mere mortals?

We’re not merely mortals. We’re God’s children. Our spiritual essence is of God. Our very underpinning therefore is love. If we were to focus on love, on being love and practicing love then we’re probably on the right path!

We’re God’s kids so only the finest of outcomes is in store for us. We do play a huge part in co-creating our lives and its circumstances. If we think and act in accordance with natural law then we will live a very satisfying and fulfilling life.

We disallow universal energy from flowing through us when we think we’re unworthy. Only we can love self or not. When we dislike self we’re inhibiting creative energy from flowing through us. Let’s release these blocks by loving self and others. Let’s love, serve and be happy!
