What It Takes…

14.24 Who dwells in his inner self, and is the same in pleasure and pain; to whom gold or stones or earth are one, and what is pleasing or displeasing leave him in peace; who is beyond both praise and blame, and whose mind is steady and quiet…

14.26 And he who with never-failing love adores me and works for me, he passes beyond the three powers and can be one with Brahman, the ONE..The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 14)

equanimity

We use meditation to still our mind. When the mind’s still it connects to Spirit more readily. Without stilling our mind the electro-chemical nature of our body and mind makes it exceedingly difficult to make such contact. Let’s practice stillness.

love

As we increase our contact with Spirit, life becomes easier, we become more peaceful, we’re suddenly more creative, we’re happier, life is good and continues to be an adventure! Loving everyone becomes a whole lot easier!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM still.

You Are Perfect Love!

You have so little faith in yourself because you are unwilling to accept the fact that perfect love is in you, and so you seek without for what you cannot find within.A Course in Miracles

who are we?

If there’s a God, if there’s Universal Intelligence, then that which created us supports us, keeps us safe, loves us, guides us, inspires us and leads us forward…. A spark from God is at our core. Our challenge is to seek that spark; the first step in that direction is to accept that such a thing is possible…And that is Faith.

love r us

As we discover the center from which we emanate, we realize that love is the very currency of this Universe. We can choose love or we can choose fear at any juncture, those are our only 2 choices. Let’s choose the way of love, acceptance, forgiveness, peace, adventure and joy!!

How To Live From Our Heart…

Where-so-ever you go, go with all your heart. Confucius

there we are

Where ever we go, we take us along. We can’t escape us. Often it’s in recognizing that we’re trying to escape a situation or a feeling, that our biggest growth may lie. Let’s become more aware of what we avoid and try to escape, let’s become more real.

from the heart

We often operate only from the brain, the mind, from the region of the head. Once we notice that, we could move our attention down to our heart region and live from that orientation. Our thoughts, our actions, our attitude, our demeanor and therefore our life-results will be quite different. Let’s try that!

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM my heart.

How To Heal Relationships

If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting?Stephen Levine

relationships

There isn’t a person alive who doesn’t have or hasn’t had challenges with relationships! The truth is that relationships are what life is all about. If everything was to disappear right now, from a spiritual standpoint the only thing that would matter would be people, memories and relationships. How can we heal relationships that are suffering?

2 ways

Here are 2 ideas that do work:

  1. Let’s drop our ego and call the person or persons we most need to talk to. Tell them how much we miss them and how much we’re losing out by not having a normal relationship… This has been known to work for some Smile!
  2. The Spiritual Triangle: Here’s an exercise that works powerfully to heal relationships behind the scenes! Here are the steps…
    • Use prayer to connect with divinity. Now imagine 3 points of light in the mind’s eye.
    • Point A: Is a bright light in the region of our heart; Point B: Is a luminosity that depicts God or divinity. Point C: Is a bright light that represents the heart of the other person.
    • Make a ‘light’ connection between Point A (us) and Point B (God). Then connect Point B and Point C (the other person). Finally in a triangle connect all 3 points!
    • Imagine the light triangle between the 3 points as vividly as possible. This light is the love that connects everyone. This love heals all…
    • Now pray that this relationship be healed and imagine Point A, B and C merging into one brilliant light!

What’s The Best Meditation?

12.12 For concentration is better than mere practice, and meditation is better than concentration; but higher than meditation is surrender in love of the fruit of one’s actions, for on surrender follows peace. The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 12)

meditation

There are a myriad different techniques that fall under the umbrella of meditation, here are some that I share on NamasteNow. In general meditation techniques range from concentration to chanting to reflection and so on. Any practice that softens us, helps us become more open minded, become more tolerant, forgiving, grateful and loving is good!

surrender in love…

According to this holy book of the Hindus, surrendering all action to God and in love is the way to peace and happiness. When we’re at peace, we can more easily enjoy the inspiration and love that rain down on us from all directions. Only when our desires and the constant mind chatter peter down can we hope to tap into this ever-present Universal resource…. Lets practice!

The Solution For Everything…

11.54 Only by love can men see me, and know me, and come unto me.

11.55 He who works for me, who loves me, whose End Supreme I am, free from attachment to all things, and with love for all creation, he in truth comes unto me. The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 11)

love is the answer

The very essence of God, the very fabric of reality is based in love. Whenever we don’t know the way forward, regarding any aspect of life, love, it seems, is the answer…

working for god

The two verses above are the very essence of The Gita. To approach life with love, to devote our very existence and all effort to God, the ultimate Reality, is the way to a fulfilling and meaningful life.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM devoted to God.

I AM Because I AM…

10.39 … I am the seed of all things that are; and that no being that moves or moves not can ever be without me.

10.42 Know that with one single fraction of my Being I pervade and support the Universe, and know that I AM.The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 10)

no place to go

No place to go where God isn’t; no thought to think without the I AM experiencing it, nothing to do without God. We live in the very substance of God. Truly have we nothing to worry about, we come from God, we live and have our being in him and we’re headed towards an increasing realization of All That Is…

i am

I AM is the original postulate. God just is. He lives and inhabits the present moment, completely, and he encompasses all time and space. We can identify with him and know his nature, if we but choose to do so. He waits patiently, all-the-while surrounding us with unconditional love…
