How To Return Home…

I rule my mind, which I alone must rule. a course in miracles

We left home and now we’re lonely. There’s nothing in the world we’ve created that can satisfy us. Only re-union with God will fulfill us. God has invited us back already. But first we must decide that we want to head back home. Then I must decide to ‘rule my mind’, reign it in and finally ‘I’ must hand the reigns over to God. He can then gently guide us back home.

How To Truly Forgive…

Forgiveness recognizes what you thought your brother did to you has not occurred. a course in miracles

Someone hurts us in some manner. We then might forgive them for what they’ve done to us. That’s not real forgiveness according to A Course in Miracles. That’s because by forgiving someone we’re saying that there’s something to forgive. A Course in Miracles informs us that we’re dreaming our current ‘reality’. And if that’s the case then the ‘sin’ committed by our brother-in-dream never actually happened. Recognizing that it never occurred is true forgiveness.

God Is Not Dead, She’s Here…

He is not lost … He is right here … Closer than your own breath! Rumi

Everyone wants to know where God is. And how to contact her. Some say he’s right here and is ‘closer than your own breath’. What nonsense is this? If she’s right here and ‘closer than our own breath’ then how come we can’t put a finger on that experience?

I’ve wrestled with this dilemma and have found an answer. Our beingness, our very presence, the awareness that we are, which looks out and which experiences all experience, is what is us. This essence is what this quote refers to. This essence is also God expressing itself as us, as this awareness which is our core identity.
