I have learnt silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet strange, I am ungrateful to these teachers. – Kahlil Gibran
our perspective
Same here, I’m too am ungrateful for these learning opportunities and great teachers who pop in appropriately into our lives! What keeps us from having the right perspective?
defending the ego
It’s because we’re always in defensive mode. We want to convince others of our wisdom and smartness. We can’t stand not being right. If someone is being unkind or intolerant, they must be wrong.
The Universe and Life are not against us. This is a grand drama with amazing purposes, quite unknown to us, that’s being played out. It doesn’t serve us to have the wrong attitude. We ought to be humble and learn from what Life arranges for us!
