When things don’t happen the way we want them to happen we become irritated. It’s the assertion of our will or ego that causes this irritation. Let’s examine when and why we get agitated. What didn’t happen or isn’t happening that’s causing us to be irritable? Dispassionate awareness of that situation will tend to calm us down…

The way to peace and wisdom is to let Life be what it is. This doesn’t mean we don’t plan or act to design our future. It just means that when we’ve done our best, we let the chips fall where they will, and be ok with that. There’s incalculable intelligence behind what’s going on, let’s not underestimate it!
