A loving thought…

If instead of a gem, or even a flower, we should cast the gift of a loving thought into the heart of a friend, that would be giving as the angels give.George MacDonald

Everyday living slowly turns our thoughts and actions, harsh and selfish. That’s if we don’t take care of our garden within, water it, tend it and nourish it.

The way to nourish our inner life is by:

  1. Becoming aware of our thoughts as much as possible.
  2. Being aware of what we put into our minds, like the stuff we read and what we think.
  3. Allowing peace and love to sink in via meditation, prayer and Now time.
  4. And by consciously giving loving thoughts and doing acts of love/service to others.

It’s all about cultivating loving awareness. Namaste Now!

Where do we put our effort?

In the choice between changing one’s mind and proving there’s no need to do so, most people get busy on the proof.John Kenneth Galbraith

We make our opinions a part of our very being, we identify with them, they make us. Which is why we have trouble relinquishing them. It’s hard giving up a cherished belief.

How can we best view the value of changing our beliefs, even supplanting them? How can we be more flexible in our thinking, for our own benefit?

Affirmation: I’m open to all ideas and to a solution that benefits all.

Do it anyway!

Always listen to experts. They’ll tell you what can’t be done and why. Then do it.

Robert Heinlein

When you are calm, collected and purpose driven, ideas will spring from the deep wisdom that resides inside you. Soon enough you’ll feel drawn to act. Sometimes these ideas will be derided or criticized by others. Stay your course.

Listen to all but do what keeps you true to yourself. These ideas that emerge from within reveal parts of your life purpose. You will be most fulfilled when you live this purpose.

The true joy in life…

This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.George Bernard Shaw

What is a ‘mighty’ purpose that drives you? This doesn’t mean that it was be one that has world-wide reach or is earth shattering. It just means a purpose that’s very meaningful to you. Whether it’s raising a future citizen of the world or feeding the homeless.

There’s immense power in emerging out of our selfish shell, to look around us, notice our place in creation and make our own positive impact on something or someone! We benefit as does the collective, in untold ways.

Let’s all become more aware, and act!

Let your heart take you over…

Each handicap is like a hurdle in a steeplechase, and when you ride up to it, if you throw your heart over, the horse will go along, too.Lawrence Bixby

It’s all in our intention and expectations. If we choose to win, choose to overcome any hurdle, expect to triumph, then our chances of doing just that have suddenly quintupled!

  1. How do you use your mind?
  2. How do you use your heart?

You have a choice, don’t let circumstances dictate your divine right!
