How To Partner With God!

9.26 He who offers to me with devotion only a leaf, or a flower, or a fruit, or even a little water, this I accept from that yearning soul, because with a pure heart it was offered with love.

9.27 Whatever you do, or eat, or give, or offer in adoration, let it be an offering to me; and whatever you suffer, suffer it for me.The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 9)

our motive

God recognizes our motive. There’s nothing we can give him except for our recognition of his primacy and his deep involvement in our lives. So when we acknowledge him and want to express it; anything that we offer is more than acceptable. No need to fast, or suffer, nor will any bribing work! That’s because God knows us intimately. He comforts us when we’re afraid and even recognizes why we are superstitious. But we needn’t be afraid, God underscores it all!

seeking partnership

God seeks an active partnership with us. The way to approach the creator is to do so actively; even moment to moment. One purpose of life is to increase our awareness of ‘All That Is’; such awareness increases dramatically when we live in the moment. We can more easily live in the moment when we involve God in our daily events. This is a great way to live a holy and spiritual life! Being in partnership with God can be simple!

Why We Must Stop, Drop & Roll!

Learn to pause… or nothing worthwhile will catch up to you. Doug King

fire!

We are people on the go! We wake up in a hurry, go to school/work in a hurry. We do this while breathing hard and fast, thinking quick thoughts and never stopping to smell the rose. Let’s Stop, Drop & Roll!

stop, drop and roll…

When there’s a fire everyone’s advised to Stop, Drop & Roll! We can do the same in daily life, because right now our rushing through the day has reached emergency proportions.

  1. Let’s stop. Center in the moment.
  2. Drop. Let’s sit down somewhere if possible.
  3. Roll. Enjoy the moment completely, roll in the hay, smell the roses!

When we do that we can more easily connect to Universal Currents, we can tap into our Center and be poised to live our Life Purpose!

Daily Affirmation: Today I pause and breathe in deeply.

How To Get Our Point Across…

I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think. Socrates

telling doesn’t work!

How many times do we argue, tell, inform, convince and even shout but no matter what, the other person never listens or appears to listen? Why is that? How can we get through to other folks? How can we make them listen and act?

make ‘em think

No one likes to be told. Everyone has an ego to protect and that appears to be the biggest challenge. Another factor is that we often don’t speak the others’ language. The language of their experience and outlook. If we can’t understand their perspective, their motives and goals we won’t be able to get through effectively. The way to get across is to ask thought provoking questions or use other means to allow for thinking to blossom. This exact technique works for self too; if we journal actively, think about stuff and ask important questions we can start to connect, to our deep self!

Also notice the book recommendation below Smile. ‘Parenting with Love & Logic’ techniques are universally applicable!

How Can Life Be An Exciting Adventure?

We’re so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget that the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it’s all about. Joseph Campbell

the outer

We’re mostly focused on topics of ‘outer value’. We dwell on questions like: ‘How do others view me?’, ‘How can I get there?’, ‘How can I get ahead?’, ‘What’s in it for me?’ etc.

the inner

Being alive to ‘inner values’ is to be intensely present in the current moment while being aware of true goals. When we know our Life Purpose (true goals) and can flow through the day living in the moment then we’re on the right path! Along the path we’ll meet folks who are like-minded and find opportunities that’ll help us grow. Life then is an adventure, jump on!!

Daily Affirmation: Today I focus on what’s truly important.

What’s Our Potential?

We know what we are, but not what we may be.Shakespeare, Hamlet

self knowledge?

We don’t know what we are either. We live according to a certain concept of what we are and we apply a similar standard to others. We think we know what others are and then paint them with the brush of our expectations of them. That’s a recipe for major disaster because we start with a poor idea of self and match it to a poor idea of others. No wonder relationships are so hard!

what we may be…

Along with a poor knowledge of self we often can’t be sure of our pure potential! Being of divine heritage, the sky indeed is the limit to what we can achieve. This is especially true if we partner with the Universe to achieve divine goals that impact a larger group of people and not just us. That then is the way forward, combine efforts with God and proceed forward! Only true success can result.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM focused on my divine potential!

What Pure Love Leads To…

9.22 … to those who adore me with a pure oneness of soul, to those who are ever in harmony, I increase what they have and I give them what they have not. The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 9)

through love

Because love is the stuff that the Universe is made of, love is also the means and the end for anything and everything. That’s all we need to remind ourselves of; from love, to love, for love… That is the way to approach divinity and everyone around us…

everything else is added

When we love God and his creation then nothing but eventual goodness comes our way. In love we work with the very fabric of creation, love then guides us and provides for us all that we can ever need, especially from a spiritual standpoint. Which is why we can never go wrong if we simply focus on love.

Daily Affirmation: Today I AM Love to one and all.

What To Do Now?

Time is life. It is irreversible and irreplaceable. To waste your time is to waste your life, but to master your time is to master your life and make the most of it.Alan Lakein

time value

Each breath we take is a measure of time and of our life. Just like each breath is precious so is the time that the breath occupies. And each such moment is unique. What will we make of it?

now or never!

Each moment we have 2 choices:

  • To Be: We can relax, collect our thoughts and figure out what comes next. Breathe….
  • To Do: Take action based on a plan we’ve made previously. If we don’t have a plan, let’s make one, now. Action!!

Daily Affirmation: Today I master life by mastering time.
