Why We Can Never Be Defeated…

Why doesn’t constant trampling defeat the dandelion? The key to its strength is its long and sturdy root, which extends deep into the earth. The same principle applies to people. The true victors in life are those who, enduring repeated challenges and setbacks, have sent the roots of their being to such a depth that nothing can shake them.Daisaku Ikeda

sturdiness

We all get hurt, we sometimes feel defeated. We also lose hope. But we keep going. No one I know has given up, neither have you. We all have a strong measure of hope and the ability to rebound. Where does this indomitable hope and faith come from?

deep roots

The truth is that we do have deep roots. The roots if followed deeply enough, will lead us to our own origin. We come from the greatest of lineages, we come from the very author of all that is. We are his children. We will survive. We will flourish. Let’s not lose sight of our divine inheritance. We are princes and princesses waiting to be ‘born’ to our birth right. Let’s wake up to this eternal reality by accepting it as fact, in faith and with full expectation!

Daily Affirmation: Today I revel in my divine right as a child of God.
