inexplicable peace

We all want peace. Even when we think we want happiness, it’s actually peace that we deeply desire. And of course it’s not the car, or the home, the vacation or the partner that we think we need, it’s a fulfilling peaceful life. We are everlasting thoughts in the mind of the Creator. And our only refuge is God’s ever-present grace.

They alone see truly who see the Lord the same in every creature, who see the deathless in the hearts of all that die. – Krishna – Gita

true seeing

We move and have our very being in the fabric of God stuff. Everything that we see and experience is God. God is all there is. To truly see we must recognize and speak to the Divine in the person in front of us. Everything around us is constantly moving and changing. What is it that never changes or moves? That’s the divine, the one thing we should focus on.

That one is dear to me who runs not after the pleasant or away from the painful, grieves not, lusts not, but lets things come and go as they happen. – Krishna – Gita

as is

God loves us all; however how near (consciously) are we to God? That sense of conscious presence of ‘God’ manifests itself as a certain ‘peace that passeth understanding’, a relaxed beingness.

all roads lead to rome

God waits for us. He hasn’t abandoned us, if anything we’ve strayed. All our sincere efforts count for a lot. We must remember that being God’s idea, we’re never outside his mind. We’re forever under his care and that understanding, just by itself, brings us immediate peace. We may take any path, but can’t stray for long. His love beckons and whoever shows up in our life next can show us the way to him.

I Am

Moses wanted to know God’s name. And he received the only name that was or is possible. ‘I Am that, I Am.’

We can experience this ‘I AM’ when we just sit still. It’s our default sense of being. When we can stay still and be non-interpretive to all experience, feelings, thoughts, smells, sound and sight, then that’s just being, that’s I AM.

In this quote Jesus, being God’s son, clearly states that he is that very same presence that ‘I AM’ points to every time!

With peace in our heart, our world is transformed. But peace must first come to our heart. How peaceful is our heart? What will it take? Are we up to this challenge?
