There is absolutely no inevitability as long as there is the willingness to think. – Chuck Jones
inevitabilities…
Death and taxes are certainties we are told. Once we know that an event is inevitable it’s best to come to terms with it and face it squarely. Our character is truly revealed under such trying circumstances. Our human nature and its creativity can face any situation. Let’s do just that when it comes time!

4th Basic Technique to ‘Break the Worry Habit Before it Breaks You’ : Cooperate with the inevitable!
I know someone who’s facing his sudden cancer diagnosis in the most amazing way! He’s jumping right into the treatment plan, as horrific chemo and radio can be, and continuing to enjoy and live life fully! He understands the joy of family and friends and won’t let a minute slip by! Kudos to people like that! Let’s learn from them!

How To Rise Above Self…
We cannot see above our own present level. – Vernon Howard
present level
Our ‘present level’ consists of our current beliefs, assumptions, perspectives and certainties. We’re unable to see beyond our level. Unless we choose to…
open up

Why We Must Face Shame!
If we’re going to find our way back to each other vulnerability is going to be that path. – Brene Brown
vulnerability
On Tuesday I shared some thoughts on Brene Brown and her talk on vulnerability. Here’s her next TED video which delves deeper into vulnerability by tackling ‘shame’ head-on! Real good stuff. Forces us to become more real, with self and others, check it out!
shame
According to Brene Brown guilt is ‘I did something bad. I made a mistake.’ While shame is ‘I am bad. I am a mistake.’ Women most often feel shame when they cannot do it all or can’t do it perfectly. Men feel shame when they think ‘I am weak’. It’s important to recognize shame when we experience it so that we don’t brush it aside. It pays to shine a light into a dark corner inside us. Because then we can be more human, more vulnerable and therefore more lovable and loving…

Why Beliefs Are Important To Watch!
When your beliefs match your desires then your desires must become reality. – Abraham
match
Most of us are not quite sure if the Law of Attraction works or if it works 100% of the time. The stuff of the Universe comes from thought and we are the wards of the Eternal. Our thoughts have immense power. What we see happening around us, the good and the bad, is directly or indirectly caused collectively by us. Whether we can consciously use the Law of Attraction to our ‘advantage’ really depends on what deep assumptions and beliefs we hold. If we want great relationships but deep down don’t think we’re worthy enough to have them, then such relationships won’t be showing up for us.
creative responsibility
We have a great responsibility on our shoulders. If we don’t want more of what the world is experiencing right now then we must choose our thoughts with care. We ought to target our desires to match with those of the Universe. This ensures that our entire world moves forward in way that benefits everyone and not just some of us. This also ensures that we live a more fulfilling life i.e. our ‘Life Purpose’!

Why We Must Be Vulnerable!
Let ourselves be seen.
Love with our whole hearts.
Practice gratitude, lean into joy.
I am enough.
brene brown
A Facebook friend shared this amazing TED video with me. Brene a social researcher discovered that to live deeply we must become more vulnerable. Watch the video and share your thoughts!
more real
By becoming more open and vulnerable, we become more real to self and to others. We expose our humanity. This allows us to love more deeply. When we love in that fashion we experience a joy that’s uncommon and we become naturally thankful for all that we are and have. Then it’s clear that we are loved and enough just the way we are…

What is the ‘Law of Averages’?
Happiness doesn’t depend on any external conditions, it is governed by our mental attitude. – Dale Carnegie
worry makes bad curry!
Worrying is a waste of energy. It serves no good purpose. How can we stop investing in this losing proposition?
life principles
3rd Basic Technique to ‘Break the Worry Habit Before it Breaks You’ : Use the law of averages to outlaw your worries.
Objectively figure out the chances that something will go wrong. As an example the odds of our dying in a 1 hour flight are less than 1 in 1,000,000! Similarly the odds of something else going wrong are not super high. Let’s not dwell on what may go wrong. That’s energy misspent! Let’s deploy the ‘Law of Averages’!

What Is Success and Happiness?
Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get. – Dale Carnegie

Success is getting what we truly need, happiness is appreciating what we get.
