How often do we fret about what can go wrong? How often do we fear the future? Let’s become aware of when we do this. Awareness casts the limelight on this tendency, it allows us to reflect on the eternal now and on our constant companion.

Truly, God is with us, at all times and in innumerable ways. When we accept this Universe fact in faith, it becomes real, it becomes more palpable. The fear flees, we’re at peace. We know it when we experience it. The experience is not forthcoming if we don’t invite it.

A concept originates in our minds, we give it expression through words and eventually as actions or deeds. The way to supercharge this cycle of events is to start with ‘True’ concepts. Here’s an example, ‘I’m a child of God’. Accepting it as Truth, affirming it and then trying to live it makes it real in our lives…

Accepting and affirming reality strengthens our own hold on that reality. In other words we discover truth by accepting a concept or a hypothesis as fact, first. We do so by faith and as we do that, if it is indeed true, it shows up in our lives. This is contrary to what we’ve been taught. Try it to know its power!

We all seek formulas in life. Examples of formulas may be:

• Routines that we build into our daily lives
• Special prayers that are repeated to effect changes
• Superstitions that are employed
• Special spiritual or life approaches that appear to work

Formulas do work sometime; especially for the short term and for machine oriented situations. We are not machines though.

Life, and the future, is ever in motion. Formulas bind and restrict. How can we stay flexible? How can we dynamically adapt to life? How can we move with the waves of life, ever towards greater fulfillment and happiness?

Krishna, God, has something very important to say to religionists in this verse. He understands that all scriptures are imperfect and such  imperfection confuses all thinking believers. Here he suggests that we not rely solely on written guidance. That we become our own gurus.
