Thoughtfulness is the beginning of great sanctity. If you learn this art of being thoughtful, you will become more and more Christlike, for His heart was meek and always thought of others. – Mother Teresa
The Father and I will both work with you, and you shall experience the divine fullness of joy if you will only obey my command to love one another, even as I have loved you. – Jesus
Let’s serve each other by understanding the needs of people who surround us!

For last year’s words belong to last year’s language and next year’s words await another voice. – Little Gidding by TS Eliot
See you back on January 2nd, 2012!
2012 is kicking off real soon! Let’s celebrate our 2011 achievements and be extremely thankful for what is. It’s time to reflect. Here are some possibilities!
- Why is life worth living?
- What’s unique about me?
- Whose life can I impact positively?
- What’s my next step?
- What can I celebrate about life today?
a new beginning
Let’s become possibilitarians, because life is all about possibilities that we create and co-create with others. God is a partner too, let’s not forget that. Let’s intend to start afresh after some soul-searching and make 2012 our best year ever!

To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom. – Bertrand Russell
Fear real or imagined, cripples us. We can’t think clearly when under the influence of fear. If we can’t think clearly then how can wisdom flourish in our lives? So how can we lick fear?
Here are steps that work:
- First we must become aware of when we feel fear. We’re fearful of a lot of stuff. Let’s figure out, through mindfulness, what we fear and when, through-out the day.
- Next let’s understand the futility of it! Let’s fully grasp and internalize what a waste of energy it is. Most of what we fear never materializes and what does materialize can’t be attended to if we’re disabled by fear.
- Once we become aware of any fear arising in our heart or stomach (yes that’s where it generally shows its ugly face!) let’s dissociate from that feeling. In other words recognize that our witnessing of that emotion is separate from it. This is a huge step. We are not our thoughts, we have our thoughts.
- Once we learn to dissociate from the fear we can transcend it by choosing our reactions and thoughts regarding any situation. EFT is a technique that can help banish fear during this step. PSTec is another technique available freely.
Let’s not be victims for this greatest fraud of all time, let’s become masters of self!

You will learn that you increase your burdens and decrease the likelihood of success by taking yourself too seriously. – The Truth Book
How do we show up daily? Do we think we’re important? What expression do we wear on our faces? How is our walk? Do we talk as though we already know? What attitude do we exude?
“How come candles need wax?” I’m sitting right next to my son who’s doing his homework and that’s what he just asked me ! Kids are curious, they’re gung-ho, they’re mostly happy-go-lucky, they hardly take themselves seriously, they’re the only guide we need in life! Let’s be childlike and pursue everything with abandon!

A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving. – Lao-Tse
We are all travelers trudging along the highway of Life! Where are we headed? What’s the journey like? What are our regrets? What’s missing? What are our hopes? Are we arriving? Or are we on our way? What do we expect? What’s our demeanor? Are we happy? Did we discover joy? What’s our ‘big’ goal?
There’s genuine freedom when we’re not weighed down by expectations that we set for our selves or those set by society and norm upon us. Imagine if we had no real agenda. Or that we didn’t care to make too much money or buy all the ‘things’. Imagine if we were true adventurers only bent upon learning and experiencing life as it happened, just flowing with the river of time …

Where am I? – Neale Donald Walsch
Neale calls them the 3 persistent questions and the 4 fundamental questions of life! We started with persistent question #1 here: What Is It That? Fundamental question #2 is presented above. The first fundamental question was ‘Who am I?’
where am i?
Where am I along the following dimensions?
- Life aspirations
- Religion, spirituality, God, etc…
We must really mull this question. Where do I exist? What’s my relationship with others, with the groups I interact with, with society, my country, my planet, with my religion, with God and with Eternity?
Daily Affirmation: Today I mull over where I AM…

Are you holding onto something that you need to let go of? – Questions…
What baggage do we carry around that would best be dropped off? Emotional baggage like the following?
- Why life hasn’t been fair
- Why certain people failed us
- How some folks hurt us
- Why I’m not good enough
There can be many a psychological baggage that we lug around, let’s discover some and let go!
journal & forgive
If we’re not sure what we’re carrying around then let’s listen to our ‘recorded message’. This is the message we playback to self and others when we’re complaining about life. It’s a message that’ll surface if we either pay attention or journal our thoughts. The surest way to free self and move forward with gusto is to recognize this recording. Pay full attention to it, forgive the other person or self as needed and move on. Doing this daily for a while might be necessary before this emotional charge loses its hold on us!
