Most powerful is he who has himself in his own power. – Seneca
My son and I finished watching the 6 movies that make up the dual Star Wars trilogies this week! The son and the father now talk just like Master Yoda in the movie! The Jedi Masters in Star Wars are the self-less crusaders who uphold the true values of a Universe, underpinned by the good side of ‘The Force’. We are all like the Jedi.
comes from inside, power does
Our power, our peace, our wisdom and our path forward all come from deep inside us. Self-mastery is the way to all this goodness. Step by step, one experience after another, we move forward. What is your next step toward Jedi-Hood?
Today’s Affirmation: Today I AM a Jedi Master!

Every artist was first an amateur. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
born with it, you are
You are a born artist. How you might ask? In two ways I will retort.
- Because you are unique and your take on life has no duplication, anywhere.
- An artist looks at the world, sees meaning, often deep meaning and expresses that meaning in ways that are true, beautiful and good. You can do that daily in whatever you create. You can do it when you express yourself while communicating, in cooking, any writing that you do, via any self-expression for that matter. If that self-expression is pleasing to you and to others then you are an artist.
state of mind, it is
So if you’re an artist already how come you and others don’t quite know it? That’s just a state of mind. Know when you express yourself that you’re an artist. Also realize that the Universal Intelligence craves to express through you. Allow that. Live that mindset, express yourself with that same mindset and be amazed at what you create!
Daily Affirmation: Today I AM an artist in the way I express myself.

In the beginners mind there are many possibilities, but in the experts there are few. – Zen Master Shunryu Suzuki
the beginner’s mind
Such a mind is childlike. Not childish, but one that sees things anew, doesn’t discount anything, has few regrets and worries not about the future. It lives fully in each moment.
Unencumbered such a mind is free to be creative and truly resourceful. This mind seeks possibilities, expresses emotions, resents not and exudes joy. What kind of mind do you have? Or does your mind have you?
Daily Affirmation: Today I AM here, I AM now.

If only. Those must be the two saddest words in the world. – Mercedes Lackey
your big ones
The 3 big regrets most people have (according to a study referenced in a book I was listening to this morning called ‘Flip’) are:
- Education: Not being able to get the experience and training you really wanted.
- Business opportunities: Not grabbing and implementing business ideas as they appeared.
- Time with family: Not loving enough and not spending time with loved ones enough.
Regret has to do with missed opportunities and action not taken. What are your big ones?
What are you not doing, not being, not pursuing and not living, today, that will cause you to say ‘if only’ in the future? How do you handle regrets and disappointments today? Are you happy?
Daily Affirmation: Today I AM action!

He who is not busy being born, is busy dying. – John Dillon
Shunted growth or stagnation is the result of our disinterested outlook to life. If we thrash about life like waves, what chance do we have that our ‘life’ boat will head in a fruitful direction?
The only way is the way forward. Any other direction, for too long, is just not enlivening. We can either be re-born, continuously, or we can wither away wallowing in our own ‘sorryness’ for the cards that life dealt us. What will you be; a sorry-self or a dynamic child of God who can never truly be defeated?

Know that your body is the temple of the living God; there you may seek communion. There you may seek counsel as to the choices to be made, the directions to be taken. – Edgar Cayce
setting the stage
Step back for a moment.
See yourself, observe your body, examine your place in your family, society and on this planet. What is your ultimate purpose? If it is to discover reality, find happiness and realize whence you came, then you must set the stage first. Setting the stage means that your mind and your body must be in good shape. How do you get there? Next steps?
If reality (God) resides within us, what do we think it/he is doing there? What does this mean to us? What if anything will we do about it? Lot’s to think and journal about!
Daily Affirmation: Today I AM a powerhouse of health and vibrancy!

We are the ones we have been waiting for. – Hopi Prophecy
we are it
When Gandhi said ‘we must be the change we want to see in the world’ he was right of course. It’s either us or no one else. We have to be the change we so desperately want in the world.
let’s do it
- If we want peace we must be peaceful first.
- If we want less greed, we must first be satisfied.
- If we want more love, we must excel in loving others and in having satisfying relationships.
- If we want less frustration and greater fulfillment in life, we must search for the answers.
Life won’t just happen to us. We must stir and make things happen.
Daily Affirmation: Today I move, I act.
